Should I cut my onyx?

Should I cut my onyx? A cut onyx is worth 11.7m. An uncut onyx is worth 9.8m. I don't want the cut onyx to not sell for a few days. Also, I can't make a fury and am not close to making it. Also, can you still crush gems by cutting them? I don't want that to happen to the onyx.

I thought about cutting onyx, but I read that not many people purchase cut onyx on the ge. You could always try to buy 1 onyx and cut it to see whether it sells or not. Don't worry, the only way you could receive a crushed gem is by cutting semiprecious gems, like opal, jade, or red topaz. By the way, I'm pretty sure you could get crafting assistance from someone and use that to make onyx amulets and then you could enchant that to produce an amulet of fury.

 

Actually, the fury is worth less than an uncut onyx now.

 

My bad. If you were going to go through with this plan, I would sell the cut onyx immediately after I cut it and not use it to make any other kind of jewelry, as you will lose a lot of money. Regardless of that, I highly recommend that you don't buy a bulk amount of onyx gems, until you are positive they will sell as cut gems.

If it was like that, it would've been exploited so much that it wouldn't work. It'll most likely sell for about the same price as a fury in the GE.

 

Dont cut it.... If the price was like that, people could easily make 20m in a matter of seconds. However, they don't. Because it wont sell.

 

Try sell the uncut for higher price

Sell as uncut. It's pretty clear that it's going to sell for more.

 

No everything that you will make will sell for less than the uncut. If you already have the crafting level to make a fury then do it.

 

Sell the uncut for same price as cut.
