Question about theShadow of the Storm quest

At the end it says 10k exp in one of these combat stats, (Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Magic, or Ranged). Is this random or do you get to choose? I'm a pure so I don't want to risk geting defence, also could some let me know which rfd I should to get mithril gloves (pure friendly)

You get to choose. If not, it would say it's random.

And you can do any parts of the rfd.. The more you do, the more in the chest gets unlocked.
