"Computer networking" is extremely broad. Do you have any more specifics about what you'd like to do or is that another thing you're hoping to figure out?

Either way a simple place to start is getting your CCNA

still trying to figure that out, and CCNA is definitely a goal. Might start on Networking+ first and build from there

that's awesome you will learn a lot there. find people that have as much interest as yourself and maybe groups after school. you will probably get an apprenticeship or something along the lines while your still in school.

Computers.. My number one favorite thing to work with. If you have any questions regarding and specifics, message me through PM or get a hold of me on discord. Many years of experience, troubleshooting, building computers you name it.

I'm not in networking, but I'm a sys admin and sit right next to guys who are.

Here are some recommendations in order:
Pick up a Network+ cert or something similar to get some networking fundamentals down
Consider piecing together an inexpensive home lab to practice: CCNA Home Labs Revisited
Pick up a CCENT which is ciscos entry level networking certification
    Work toward your CCNA
Continue doing as much research as possible on networking. Watch videos, read articles, pick up books, practice in a home lab, try and do cool stuff.

A bit of a journey, but if you could get the experience I mentioned under your belt that'd definitely put you in demand for a Jr/Mid-level networking position. If you can work in a mid/large sized company under a sr network engineer that's where you'll pick up most of your practical experience.
