Should I be worried?

Someone just requested a password change for me, basicly confirming my registered mail address. Already registered my sythe to another mail account, but should I really be worried that someone can hack my Gmail?

 

If you definitely didn't request it and it's a legit password change yeah i'd be worried.

Was the previous email address public? Either way they need access to the email before they can actually change the password.

 

As long as he doesnt get access to your email you'll be fine. As extra precaution you could create new unknown email and link your sythe account for it. I suggest using Hush or gmail with SMS authorisation

 

Considering your status on Sythe and considering the worst possible outcome I would be really cautious and sort all of this out so you're sure everything is safe.

 

Unless they steal your mobile you shouldn't worry about Sythe lol - since this in Sythe.org support

Otherwise, it is odd and maybe you should check if your computer is infected etc

 

Oh and if it's gmail, why not add 2 factor authorization to that too?

 

I always recommend people do this. There's virtually no downside to using 2-factor authentication on GMail. Just make sure you request a set of backup codes and keep them somewhere safe. That way, even if you lose your phone you can access your account.
