Explanation of the trade: I paid Shin to code a discord bot for me for $1,000

How they scammed: Shin was supposed to code a discord bot for me, he told me on voice chat initially that the bot would take one-two months maximum to make. After about 6 months of bullshitting me, and coming up with bullshit excuses each time I decided to ask for a refund and it was there he told me he would only refund me a maxmimum of $325 as he did "27 hours" of work (which I think is complete bs, because he finished the simple parts of the bot that he had coded for many different servers). I will be showing over 120 screenshots of Shins conversations, and I will let the moderators judge what is fair and what is not. Video previously ruled that Shin owes me $500 for the bot, but then I found more evidence on Shin not meeting deadlines, while he specifically said he never agreed on any deadlines. While the other report was handled and had come to a conclusion of a $500 refund to me, Shin decided to abuse his power and reply to the post the day after the decision saying the code is finished, and called me and showed me some lousy examples just to save his ass. Keep in mind Shin has not done a single amount of work for my bot in over 4 months. I don't understand how someone with this kind of personality and character is allowed to have such a respected position on this site. While Shin kept telling me he would be done I invested a lot for upkeep of the casino without the essential parts of the code in place to get more bets, so I spent thousands more than what I lost to Shin. I also believe having over 4300 hours of time to finish the code and not doing so is absolutely pathetic and the worst business practice I've seen on my time on Sythe.

I don't want to go too in depth into this report I think this information should be more than sufficient, as I have already given most of the information to Video when Shin created the previous report on me.

Pending - (PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS REPORT) One of my old ranks reporting Shin on June 27, 2019 for not meeting his deadlines after many times, and he just grew sick and tired of it and decided to report him without my permission. I then got the report removed since I was being nice and wanted to give Shin more time to complete my bot, but he just kept taking advantage of my kindness and got nothing done.

After this report was made Shin did 0 work, saying that he got attacked at his own "home" (Sythe) and that he would not continue doing any work until Fit got deranked.

Before I even started, I told you I had another client already lined up, but I hadn't even accepted the deposit yet because I knew work (my full-time job) was going to get in the way. After the initial specification was written by you, we agreed on $25/hr for up to 40 hours of work (you left this out of your screenshots). You kept saying you needed something released quickly - even just 55x2 - so there's something functioning (a minimum viable product) and then you didn't care how long the rest took. Just complete one thing here and there over time as I had time available.

Later I said I didn't have time due to a full-time job, I was tired of being harassed non-stop, and said you needed to set realistic deadlines if you weren't going to accept any refund and require me to be the developer. No deadlines were ever set (post June 27th).

You didn't just ask for a refund - you asked for all $1,000 back. Then you tried to use Sythe to blackmail me into giving a full refund so it wouldn't ruin my rep. After realizing you had been lying to your hosts the entire time about what I had been doing, slandering me, and you were trying to use me as the scapegoat for your failure to run a server, I decided the only thing I could do was post a report on Sythe myself.

The other report was never handled as you didn't ever provide an opinion despite being asked to post. Since I reported myself, you never posted, and I was never fired, I could technically do the work and close the report on myself. I didn't abuse my power as no staff actions were performed.

My position on Sythe never had anything to do with our agreement. You've decided to use it to your advantage many times though despite the reminders.

I already told you prior I didn't know if I was going to meet the deadline, but then the other client I had dropped me because he somehow found out I released the minimum viable product for you. You knew I was very busy with work and already had other clients in front of you.

I never said I would complete the code fully by the 27th. There was a deadline of the 27th discussed, which I intended to meet, until your attack dogs interfered.

Another lie. After this report was posted, I started ignoring Fit/Reaper and pushed on with the updates as they needed to be completed. All of the work you wanted completed for the P-II release was completed by EOD on the 27th. I implemented some bug fixes for you on the 28th. You and everyone else started talking like friends in the staff chat a few days later, so I approached you to find out what would be happening to Fit/Reaper as you stated Fit was going to be deranked (and not for the report he posted against me or anything I said). I said Reaper was probably coerced by Fit (a known scammer), so an apology would suffice. After Fit was finally removed, the new games were added to the server on 7/4.

You agreed to pay $1,000 at $25/hr for up to 40 hours of work per the written specification. I don't understand why you always use the term "incomplete bot" either, as the bot went through two releases, with only flower games and a raffle system remaining. I offered to refund the remaining hours, but you refused saying you only wanted me to develop. We both allowed the time to drag on with nothing being accomplished; I was busy with work and you were too lazy to set any deadlines. You had been slandering and lying about me for months. Multiple hosts (yourself included) harassed me ever since the P-I release. It was clear this wouldn't be a long-term business relationship and why it needs to officially end.

 

First of all, I didn't pay for "40 hours of code", I paid for a whole bot with everything I wanted included which you said would take 40 hours to code at $25/hr, which means any incomplete code would leave me with a useless bot, therefore I am asking for the $1,000 back and the 256m 07 gp that I paid even though you were supposed to get that money after the code was completed. And having over 4300 hours to finish this code and not doing so is pathetic, and then you try to sound like the victim.

And I am very confused how you keep saying your June 27th deadline was met? That deadline included every single feature of the bot being complete (THE WHOLE BOT) and we of course know it wasn't completed, resulting in @Fit posting a report on you. And even 5 months after the report you could not get past "27 hours of coding" All you have done is give bullshit excuse after excuse why you haven't been coding and all I have done is be respectful to you throughout the whole time while you spit on my face.

And no, it's not only the raffle bot and flowers left to complete. There is the Raffle Bot, Invite Bot, Profile Command (Which shows weekly bet, lifetime bet, amount of raffle tickets the user has) and of course the flower games which includes Hot/Cold, Frosty Flowers, Flowerpoker, ABC, and as far as I recall a game or two more.

And no, you cannot technically do the work and close the report on yourself, when I clearly asked you for a refund which resulted in you originally making the first report to cover your ass. You saw the ruling was more than your $325 refund offer to me and decided to throw together some bullshit ass code and screenshared me to show me, while you knew how each item in the code had to go way more in depth.

 

You paid for $25/hr with a budget of $1,000 (i.e. up to 40 hours). I never said I would code "everything you wanted" or that it would take 40 hours. I said I'd hit you with $25/hr rate because I had no idea what even needed to be coded in the first place.

Invite bot and profile command were never added to the specification. Therefore, raffle bot and flowers were left to complete. This doesn't matter though either.

You're making assumptions again. I could close the report on myself because you never posted and the facts of the report changed. The only reason I did it is because it would require you to post like you should have in the first place.

 

You well knew every part that needed to be done, it is in our messages that is posted on the report. And it is not a lie, you said the full bot would be finished by the time I got back from my vacation. And I am not making assumptions, and no you cannot close the report on yourself, and I could not post until I got back in California like I told Video, but I gave him the information he asked of me, therefore coming to a $500 refund ruling, once I got back I posted. And then I remembered that there was a report on you for not meeting deadlines, so I made this report along with that piece of information that I forgot to include. After wasting over 6 months of my time, I am not going to sit here and argue with you since 90% of our chat screenshots are there and ready to view, I will be waiting for an Admin's response now.

 

If you go look through those pictures, you'll see you mentioned the invite bot. My response was I didn't remember it and it wasn't in the specification, so you would need to add it. You still never added it to this day.
