Sharp pain in my chest while smoking?

I get a sharp pain in my chest sometimes when smoking weed. Most of the time it will be in the center of my chest. Right now, it is on the right side of my chest by my shoulder in that little indent.

I've been a pretty heavy smoker for over 5 years. The first time this happened was about a year ago, I was walking around this field and smoking with a buddy of mine and I noticed the pain in the center of my chest. Ever so often from then on out, when smoking or after I have just smoked, this pain would return. I don't have a history of medical problems so I'm clueless as to what this could be. It's nothing that's unbearable. It's just annoying to the point that it's not normal.

Does anyone have anything like this happen to them? Is this normal? Should I see a doctor? Does anyone know why this happens?

 

I highly suggest that you go see a doctor and stop smoking untill you have consulted him.

OR use vaporizer. Which burns the THC into a mist not a smoke , and you in hail. Doesn't affect your lungs at all.

 

I'm pretty sure you have asthma - that's exactly what happened to my friend around 2 weeks ago.

Check up with the doctor, and please stop smoking - at least until you find out if and what the problem is.

 

This is sometimes the very very very very early stages of Lung Cancer, stop and consult your doctor.

 

Sooo any help other than to quit smoking or see a doctor? I wanna know if other people get this, my friend does, but I'd still like an outside opinion...

 

These are the beginning signs of your Lungs collapsing, or failing. Your body is telling you to stop. My friends lung collapsed the other week and he was close to dieing... its not worth it.

Note- Doctors WILL NOT tell your parents if you're smoking and are under aged. So go see one ASAP.

 

I don't see the problem here with going to the doctor. Risking your life because you see an opinion that seems to fit yours is ignorant.

 

Yea you get pain lung when smoking.....what do you think you should be doing? Common sense would suggest "stop fuckin smokin", but you want other opinions.....wow. Gl with everything.

 

Anything like this I reccomend seeing a doctor, albeit, listen to your body, cut down on the fags =D (slighty hypocritical of me )

This happened to my dad around christmas and a month after the first time he was in the hospital for 3 weeks with a major heart attack the 2nd time for 3 days with a minor one.

He kept complaining that he was having sharp pains in the middle of his chest and around it he has been a heavy smoker for more than 20 years. Most likely you are building up to a heart attack go get help before it is too late.

None of this is bullshit seriously. Heart attacks build up before they actually come once you have one you will get them more often.

 

Well, I've considered that. The pain comes and goes and isn't there every time I smoke. I heard other smokers get this and so I'm hoping it just happens to everyone sometimes? I'd rather not have to pay for doctors visits.



EDITT:: oh, I took an ekg a few months ago and everything came up normal if that helps..

 

I was getting bad pains where I couldn't take in full breaths when I was smoking a lot (like 2-3 times a day, lol)

They randomly vanished, I still smoke but only on weekends now but that's more of a money problem I know a few smokers that this happens to, this was happening to me every 5 to 10 minutes a month ago and couldn't find any answer to it online. They come and go I guess, some people have told me it could be collapsed lungs since I'm tall but it went away on its own.

 

I sometime get pain in my heart or somewhere near my heart, then I can't fully breath, also I only smoked for around 3 months, every day, and I stopped smoking around 1 year ago.

 

Stop smoking, see a doctor, and get professional help... Nobody on sythe is qualified to diagnose you.
