Need some slayer advice! (Pure)

Basically started my obby pure, have 51 strength currently and i want to stick to strength only, and a slayer staff would make things ALOT easier..

Is it possible to get 1-55 slayer using just strength? and how hard would it be?

Never done slayer before, let alone on a pure! so any advice would help cheers lads

My advice is to get 60 strength first for an obby maul, then use it all the way. Wanna know how long it would take for 50 slayer? 1-50 slayer is 101333 xp. If you covert it to strength xp thats 405332 xp in your strength. So... 1-50 slayer should get you almost 69 strength.

 

so the slowness of slayer will even out as ill be getting str up at the same time?

 

You can but the tasks will probably be harder.

Slaying on a pure is quite hard tbh, without prayer. I'm training my strength with slayer and I'm 60 attack, still alot of tasks are hard to do so I end up using range/cannon or burthoping =/ currently at 53 str and 41 slayer so it should get easier though when my strength is higher

 

i have obby maul now, and i will use mage for the harder tasks

 

Its possible, loads of pures use to get slayer up for the arrows.

It can but it'll be harder and take longer. Anything can be trained via slayer

 

nah i wont be training defence with slayer, but ill obviously take less hits.
