Dark Souls Remastered

Hey all !

Just started getting into Dark Soul's remastered. I have played Bloodborne before and a little bit of Dark Souls 3, i've beat a few bosses on each of those but seemed to have got sidetracked and stopped playing them.

Elden Ring is out now and I thought hmmm maybe I should buy that, but then i'm like why not start from the beginning and actually completing the first one first instead of just buying Elden ring because it's new! (i'm sure it's amazing don't get me wrong)

So anyhow my journey has begun on Dark Souls, i'm really enjoying it. Couple bosses down so far and going strong. I'm really taking my time exploring and... dying. Currently just came across Darkroot Garden i believe it's called. These damn tree monsters sure do sneak up on you, they blend in so well.

So have any of you guys played Dark Souls the original/remastered ?
Have you completed it?

The souls games are so cool, my biggest love/hate pet peeve of this game is the fact that you can basically make it your own story and go anyway you want which is awesome but it's a double edge sword because it hurts my brain! Occasionally i'll remember some areas I found earlier on in the game and have a hard time remembering where they were, or if it's worth travelling back to it, etc.. all good fun though.

I died to the final boss in Dark Souls 1 like 60 times.
Souls games are by far the best games that I have ever played. I think I'm like 60% of my way through Elden Ring right now and if that game was optimized just a little better I think it would be the best game I have ever played.

Yes they are definitely challenging but it makes it feel very rewarding when you finally advance in the game! I just beat the two gargoyles and rung the first bell up top in the church.. that was probably a good 20 attempts I lost count lol

 

Yeah one thing Elden Ring does really well is you explore until you get to a new boss and then you die 30 times in the realization that you aren't ready for it. It gets you to explore the vast world and unlock all the tiny secrets.

I love the dark souls series, and I have DS3+remastered on my PS4, but I did choose to do bloodbourne first, and now transitioning just isn't the same XD I also have elden ring

 

Awesome man, yes they are all great games! Once I beat dark souls remastered i'm planning on trying Elden Ring !

 

Let me know what you think buddy, wife bought it for me and ive been slowly playing it (Elden Ring) was working on the platinum trophy for bloodbourne, but DS3/RM just drives me mental xD

 

For sure, it will be a while before I play Elden Ring yet because this is my first play through with Dark Souls so it's very challenging, getting there though!

I'm excited to play Elden Ring though, will be cool to jump too that next and experience all the cool graphics and effects and weapons and so much cool stuff i'm sure

 

It's been quite the journey so far, finally on the final boss - Gwyn, Lord of Cinder !
Just about done my first playthrough of the game ever

 

Well with 80 hours total play time (lots of standing around and exploring) I've finally beat the game, hooray!
I really enjoyed the game, so good and so challenging !
