whats taking jagex so long?

I sent in an appeal for my old main that was banned ages ago, the ban is a "manual permanent ban" anyway i appealed it and i'v not been waiting 2 weeks and they still have not replied to my appeal.
Is this normal? is there anything i can do to speed the process up?

Apparenly, they take a long time when checking appeals of bans. There was this guy that posted a while back on Sythe complaining that his appeal hasn't been looked at in a month

its just weird as iv appealed for accounts in the past and its taken around 4 days.

 

I had same problem.Had an "manual permanent ban" and it took ages to respond,around 2 or 3 months,and guess what?Appeal denied.
Good luck nonetheless.

 

Like they read it.. I sent them an Apeal saying my cat did it, and guess what. Unbanned.

 

When it's a manual ban they do read it.Manual ban means that a Jmod actually took the time and reviewed the account and ban it by hand.So i'm guessing when u appeal is the same.
@daminator Also if your account is banned for RWT it will NEVER get unbanned.

 

I appealed mine took 4 months + denied.
