My advice is to go for it if you feel like your 100% ready; if you feel like you're not ready just tell her that you're not ready. She will understand. You don't want to rush into something like this because like many people above stated you will be seeing way more of this person. If you do decide to "do it" make sure you wear a condom and if possible make sure she is on birth control. Before you make your decision think of you're life 10,20,30 years down the road. It will be special; maybe not now maybe not even 10 years from now but someday you will think back and remember it.

Sex isn't a big deal, so if thinking like a grown man makes me a "heartless piece of trash" then I guess so.

OT: @OP.To be completely honest, you will think nothing of it once it's done. You will most likely remember your first time 30 years down the road, but it won't be anything out of the ordinary, because it will most definetaly not be the best time of your life. What I meant to say in my earlier post, is that you should do it, and if she's a good friend of yours, don't hit and then stop talking to her, it won't really change much unless she actually likes you, if you like her back then you will most likely go out with her afterwards, but if you both just want it to be "just a fuck" then it won't really be a big deal. there isn't really any emotional bonding during sex unless you both like each other, also remember there is a difference between having sex and making love.

You're an idiot. Once you've slept with someone, you will never ever see them in the same light again - unless of course your some heartless sex addicted fiend who doesn't give a rats ass about the feelings of women. Whether you like it or not sex creates a bond between two people, and if they're your girlfriend/partner (or soon to be) breaking it off is very much harder.


OR, maybe they respect themselves and they respect the feelings of others - they don't want to rush in to things and hurt people in the midst of it all.


I'm 18 and still a virgin - it hasn't affected me in the slightest and I'm completely respected by all my friends and peers for my decision, and I don't plan to lose it until I feel I share a strong connection with someone.
Personally I think unless you feel that the relationship could be taken further, then you should avoid intercourse with her. It could end up doing more damage than you realize in the long term - and unless you make the mutual agreement to keep things as simple, drama free, and only casual friends-with-benefits sex, once you leave her she will hurt more than you think.

no no no trust me 2 condoms = better chance of them breaking but you should at least use one and doing your friends can be awesome or it could backfire terribly so jus be care and have fun
