Setting - What When?

I was thinking maybe something like the setting and such of the Zelda series..

Somewhat midevil/fairytale at the same time, but leaving out some of the thing in other games.

Funny you should say that because zelda is on my tv right beside me, looking at its map, you have all types off terrain incorporated into one map.

the timeframe that finn suggested is pretty good because wow does have many good landscapes and the rome game also looks pretty good also
