    Help

Alright, so recently I had parent teacher interviews.
I went to them, just to see what my teachers thought of me, y'know.

Anyway, all the teachers say I'm quiet and need to contribute to the class more. This annoys me as I know I'm not quiet, I'm just quiet around people I don't know or feel comfortable around. I wish I could show me real self, like I could at my old school (new school this year). Instead of being considered someone 'quiet'.
I've never been one to put my hand up and ask/answer questions, and I don't think I'm going to change with that aspect, I just don't want the teachers and other classmates to think of me as quiet. I know my friends wouldn't think of me as quiet.

I'm not sure what to do.

Your best option is to start chatting to other people in the classes your in. Maybe misbehave a little. Keep the teachers on their toes. ;)

    Help

I'm fine with chatting to most people I know, just the people I don't know it's a tad awkward.
    And about misbehaving:
That's what I want to do, but it's really easy to get 'detentions' here, and my parents would kill me.
I just want the teachers to think that I'm not some pussy kid, because I know I'm not.

    Thanks :)

If the teachers only called you quite then you have nothing to worry about and it shouldn;t worry you at all, I was quite in school and it is not going to effect anything in the furture most teachers are payed just to piss you of...

But if you want to be a bit loader just start talking to the person sitting next to you, don't stress if the teacher asks you to read out loud just do it and don't worry what any one thinks about you.

HAVE FUN WHILE YOUR STIILL IN SCHOOL.

Unlike these other two, I don't reccomend mis-behaving at all. School is so crucial if you want to go anywhere in life. If you screw round now, it *could* set you off on a downward spiral, and thats something you don't want when trying to get an education, trust me. Like Voda said, have fun, but not at the expense of others, or your education.
My advice: Knuckle down in class, have fun before school, during breaks, and after school :p
Try to be active in class, and if you really want to change, sit closer to the front, it's much easier to ask questions and give answers. If you're worried about what other people think of you speaking up, do it more discretely, ask the teacher to come over for a private question, then go into something else while they're at your table.

Yeah, to get rid of the title "quiet", I wouldn't recommend purposely getting in trouble. You should try to interact more with your classmates, inside ( only or usually when appropriate ) and outside of class . Try to stir up conversation with them. As for your teacher claiming you're quiet, just particpate more in class discussions.
