    Help

Over the past few years, my sister and i have gone into deep fights to the point where she begins them with our parents. Shes been taken to the mental hospital atleast 4 times and i honestly just feel broken inside, to see her being taken away and put into a facility.

My parents thinks it for the best, but i don't think its true. My parents neglected me and my sister. They would leave from morning to atleast 10, there would be nothing to eat, and nothing to get. We sat there and waited until one of them came home, and when they did it would be eat then sleep.

Just this year i recently moved in with my grandparents and everything has been going well. We are both properly fed, but my sister fucked up and the police officers responded. They put her once again in a mental facility where she stayed for about 2 weeks.

The fights still continue to this day but not on a rapid pace. As of now, im moving into my mothers house, but i can't just leave my sister behind, even though she gets me extremely upset its just quite impossible to just leave her.

For now, my parents have shown that they have changed completely, and that they are willing to take me in but not my sister. I have tried to connect with my parents, for not seeing them for 3 years, even though they were a 2 hour drive.

I don't know how to start off the relationship once again, and i certainly want to be happy at the same time.

    Help

This is quite the story, Im so sry for what you've been through.

Has your sister been diagnosed with something? They dont put just anyone in the hospital. I too have been in a few times with a bipolar diagnosis. Does she take any medication?

Im no doctor, so I cant say her actions are because of something but it could be bipolar mania. This is where ones mood is elevated to the point of thinking one is invincible. They become reckless and impulsive. With the proper medication these moods can be control, bringing the person back to their normal selves. Again Im no doctor but whatever it is, she needs help and she need support. Going through these things and being in the hospital can be scary, speaking from experience. I myself would not give up on her.

Perhaps if she gets stabled and shows improvement your parents may take her in as well... you never know. Give it time and see how things go.

I wish you the best of luck.
