Sythe.org IRC v2.0 - Support?

Ok. Long story short, I want to bring back the Sythe.org IRC. I'm willing to manage the server IF you people chip in and help pay for it.

The sever costs $100 for one year and I'd be collecting donations BEFORE making any purchases.

The biggest issue has been convincing Sythe to allow me to create an official Sythe.org IRC. His opinion is that in the past, the IRC has been managed in a way that reflects badly on him (since his name is on the IRC).

My proposal is that this new IRC would WELCOME newcomers, be free from abuse and would be the type of place that reflects well on the community as a whole.

Sythe himself still isn't convinced, though. He wants me to rally support from the community. So, here we are. If you would use this new IRC serveer, vote yes. If not, vote no. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and ask or just post here.

I voted yes. The more IRC servers, the better.

 

I support 100%, and would happily help any newcomers in how to use and connect to the IRC and anything else generally.

I would be running it according to Sythe's rules.

These are:
- People banned from Sythe.org are banned from the IRC
- People who are staff on Sythe.org have access in #sythe

Indeed, however this time the IRC will be properly and strictly managed in order to keep it a nice, happy place to hang out.

 

Support, like Darcy said, the more servers the better.

You still have Shawn's IRC. "Sythe.org IRC v2.0". You don't have to visit it.
