Not too sure how I feel about this; there could be all sorts of complications with names changed etc, and additional evidence which could be used in the event of account recovery.
Once the ID has been given out, are you able to use that same ID for life? Or just for that session?

 

I was assuming it would be just for that session, if not, then that's a problem...

 

Just that session, which only last 10 minutes.

 

In order to allow someone to upgrade on your account you need to provide them with a password anyway, which could lead to greater complications.

Question: Don't you have to re-enter your password multiple times when purchasing membership? Has this been tested?

Also, I'm not sure whether I would support a sticky. I feel as though this might lead to buyers thinking "oh, this is safe now. I just pay and give this link and then I become a member". when in reality the forum has run rampant with scammers.

Personally, I think that there should be a disclaimer regarding scams in the sticky.
