a question about age of conan

so you have to buy the game and then to play online do you have to buy the 60 day membership also for $30? I thought you just bought the game and played it online, no other payments. can someone please tell me which it is?

 

The only online game like AOC I know of that you just have to buy and never pay a membership fee is Guild Wars. But with AOC you have to purchase the membership, but if it's like WoW you can download the game from the site and just pay the membership fee.
