    Drugs Vs. Runescape

    The main topic of this thread is debating if video games (mainly Runescape) are more addicting (and possibly harmful) than drugs.

    Heres a little personal background info:
    I am an Ex-Pot Head and an Ex-DXM (google it) user. My life was pretty much normal (and possibly better). I had no problems maintaining (SP?) a social life and school was doing pretty well (A's and B's). Now if we go before that and enter my runescape years (i hardly play now), you will find that my social life was not so great (no rl friends not even a damn gf). I was doing horrible in school (mainly because i didnt do my hw just to pop that wc lvl).

    So what do you guys think?

    They're not. Drugs make your brain and body chemically addicted, whereas video games are just fun.

    I better see a good discussion on this, or else I'm closing it. >.>

    Video Games could be psychologically addictive it been researched (ill cite something when i find a good artical). Drugs can be both psychologically or physically addictive.

    Prove to me how video games can not be psychologically addictive.

    ive done both at the same time!
    it was awesome!
    weed + video games (back than it was RS) = FUN!
    F = Fantastic
    U = Under
    N = Narcotics

    Ive played also eudemons online and silkroad online drunk (or at least a bit drunk) and I must say, gaming under narcotics is awesome!

    Sure its fun. But what im trying to ask here is if video games can be equally "bad" (or in my situation) worse than drugs.

    They can be psychologically addictive, but drugs can be psychologically AND physically addictive. Drugs are worse.

    Plus, drugs tend to cause lots of damage to the body, empty wallets, death, etc....

    Video games are okay in small amounts, drugs are not, therefore drugs are worse.

    Drugs Vs. Runescape

    What about drugs that are only psychologically addicting? Such as LSD or Cannabis (ye ole chinese herb-pot). In this case i believe runescape to be worse because people tend to disassociate from reality and focus on the game. Irl you would have some mind and conscious on wether or not to use the drug.

    Why are drugs not "OK" to do in small amounts. I believe if your responsible and under the right enviornment and conditions the drug could be just as safe as anything else (this could also apply to runescape)

    i admit i am addicted to runescape but not so much as to play 3 hours a day. i think if you play too much its bad but playing in moderation is ok. the same does not go for drugs. drugs are just bad

    Such drugs damage your brain. RuneScape doesn't.

    Please don't double post. :/
