Makes sense, the only bots running in the downtime were gold-farmers (and their names are obvious)

Ddos'ing them won't be the solution though.

 

And the DDoSing idea is lame, and will end up a bunch of teenagers in federal trouble.

 

Lots of the users of the site have been blaming Paris for this. He hasn't responded to any of it either despite being online. It's all just a little fishy

 

Powerbot is credible? They seem to have a shady history.

Paris made a topic in the announcement section on pb, officially stating that pb is not involved.

 

Where do you see that at.

 

Very trusted? Paris was involved in one the largest mass hackings in Runescape.

There was some indirect evidence with how the goldfarmers were botting while Tribot and Wbot (used by many 'normal' players, aka non goldfarmers) were down.

I don't think it was implied that this was a fact but rather a very plausible theory.

Also, what most of you fail to see in regards to this theory, is that the gold farmers have been doing this for a long time. They have in house programmers and don't use the same shitty, public scripts that we use, for the most part. If you already know basic programming, getting to know Simba isn't the most complicated thing in the world, and thus have a private script to goldfarm with.

 

Looks like it was removed. Over the weekend Paris did make a thread stating that powerbot was not involved with the ddosing and anyone who suggests they were would be banned.

 

With Paris still being behind Powerbot, it wouldn't surprise me the slightest. That scamming SoaB is still lurking behind the scenes after the last fiasco.

 

I agree its very possible but i have not been shown any proff so how do i know this theory is real?

 

Never trusted any RSbot derivative since the cloud of DDoSing and hacking back when Powerbot was first conceived, but I don't buy this - Simply because gold farming sites can make their own bots, or at the very least SIMBA scripts, without having to pay Paris 'thousands'.

 

Haven't read the post but +1 no matter what it says.
