BMTH may be scamming.

So, recently, BMTH has opened a thread for sending money to Matthew.

The reasons I am concerned with him scamming is


Reason One

"March 29th, 2010"

He said he recieved and sent $5.00 donation's for 2 kids and Matthew live 3 hours hour, so it should take a day to send.

It is now april 7th and they don't have their donator rank.

Reason Two

Everytime someone says "Hey, BMTH, I want to donate "25, 50, 90" ect..., he only posts reply's to them saying "Add my MSN". He never does that for the people saying they want to donate 5 dollars.

If I am wrong, I am sorry for my accusations. Just seems suspicious, that's all.

 

For reason one, the donation process takes a LONG time. It needs to be sent from paypal to the bank account (usually takes 5-7 days), mailed (a few more days), then Matthew actually has to pick it up at the post office which can take however long.

Reason two, no idea

 

Although I find that difficult to believe, Brendan has mentioned something similiar in regards to $100 that BMTH was entrusted with. I would assume that specific situation is simply a miscommunication, and outside of that, it seems as though he has not had any problems with it so far.

 

I doubt he's scamming.

Reason 1: As Matt said it takes a while for the donation process

Reason 2: 5$ is not nearly as much money to chargeback as 90$ is, so he probably wants to talk to the sender first and make sure nothing is sketchy.

 

This. It takes a very long time, and you have to be patient with donations (mine took almost 3 months>.>).

 

Yes, I have put my trust into BMTH with A large sum of money, and so far he has handled it brilliant.

Donations will always take a while. I personally would not post threads about it. When 2 weeks have passed, then I would Pm BMTH, then after a month, pm Matthew.

 

You shouldn't realy be accusing people of scamming without evidence you can get infracted.You should of at least spoken to BMTH first, before jumping the gun, I can understand it's a long process and people wait for it actually be in their bank account before sending it, since it could get charged back.
