RS Guide section. Fail.

Let me just put it simply, ever since sold guides were allowed back on. I haven't found a guide in there for free. It's pathetic go back to the old rule with no sales allowed. Half the guides being sold are horrible anyway.

 

I agree, What the hell is the point of buying a guide that is gonna get patched in less then a week!.. selling guides should not be allowed.

Its guaranteed that RTW guides will be patched within a week of discovery.

 

I totally agree. I usually just browse other RS communities for decent guides now a days. Zbeyz,Sal's Realm and even RuneHQ if you look hard enough.

 

If guide sales weren't allowed, then what would be the incentive to find new RWT methods, or more importantly, to share them? Released methods get patched quickly, and it is only the immediate profit that the owner stands to make for sharing them that produces the guides in the first place.

If you want to require all guides be free, you'll guarantee that not only half, but all of them will suck.

The rule against sales was only really out when it was believed RWT was dead, and the only guides being sold were skilling/money-making.

 

Most guides that are sold here are leeched from other forums and are not sold by their original discoverer.

 

Than don't buy UNVERIFIED guides. I check ALL of the guides I verify and I'm almost 100% sure that they aren't leached/free when I verify them. After, though, I make no promises. If someone buys it and releases it, than I'll de-verify it, if you will.

But I agree, the section should be removed, and a rule should be put in place.

 

this is just my opinion but there should be a seperate section for "rwt guides" because its impossible to not find one there,i go to the guide section to learn stuf about rs not to be spammed with "rwt method5$ paypal"and stuff like that its sad

I agree, but Sythe wanted the guide sales to be allowed. I haven't seen a guide that I would actually spend money on.

 

I think there should be a constantly updated list of verified guides stickied so people know what they are buying.

 

I have to agree with you 100%, all the guides are complete loads of horse shit. I NEVER find a guide for free in there, they need to make a sub forum in the guide section for selling guides.

 

Whats the point in buying a guide? If you find a RWT method, why the FUCK would you sell it? all the guides in the current area suck. most of them have to do with buying an item for under mid in the ge, and selling it to another account for mid price in trade...

The BH Crater x-fer was fixed today, so there are no more *known* good RWT method left.

 

No offense but do you even play RS?

For one, RWT methods kept between big gold sellers hardly ever get patched, and if they do it takes forever, because they are not total dumb shits and sell what they do.

For two, I myself still know like 3 that can transfer around 10m+ an hour and one that can transfer pretty much any amount depending on how much cash you have before, but with little loss.

Known them for a logn time, never been patched because retards haven't sold them.

The only guides that are RWT that get sold here are the completely shitty ones that an xfer like "10M AN HOUR ROFL!11" in the title, and somehow get's "verified" and only can transfer like 400k an hour, with a 900k loss.

I think a separate forum for 'Guide Sales' (More like Crap Sales) like in the older forums. You have to get it verified and if you dont get verification then lock the thread.

 

guides need to be verified weekly.

lol-jews sold a rwt guide for 20 dollars each piece. He sold about 7 - 10 guides.

His method was about an Onyx Method, where u buy uncut onyx and cut it, and sell to receiver OR, buy onyx, make it into onyx amulet and sell it to receiver.

It was leaked in other forums already.

But, Benwise, you verified it. When my friend posted on his thread regarding the guide, my friend was banned for 'leaking' the guide.

How the hell can one be leaking a guide he has never bought?

Moderators should carefully verify guides. Many guides are leaked already, and moderators should know before verifying!
