    Tournaments? - Give feedback.

Alright, I've noticed the threads floating around lately, and I've been trying to get tournaments to enter Sythe for some time now. By the looks of things, it will not occur because there aren't any dedicated staff willing to do such things. So if allowed, I will be hosting these tournaments. They will consist of Call of Duty 4, and Modern Warfare 2 ONLY, seeing as they are my expertise.

Now, if I were to host these tournaments, I would like to take a poll on what the tournament would be. By this I mean Game Mode, whether it would be
2v2, 4v4, FFA, 1v1 Etc. I will use a generator unless it will be a one-map tournament. Yes I would be asking for fees, with me gaining some money from it, but the tournament would be giving 2nd place back their entry fees, and the first place taking most of the prize. The entry fees will vary from the tournament itself, and the amount of entrants. Again, this will be determined by the poll given prior to me stating rules, maps, etc.

These tournaments would be hosted on a dedicated server, eliminating the possibility of host advantage/lag unless it is your own doing. Matches will be viewed, and recorded by myself. This will make sure that you will not break any of these rules. This would also be an all day event.
After taking these polls, seeing whether or not I should host these tournaments.. I will post brackets, rules, prizes etc.
Take note: If these tournaments are to happen, and I find anyone using the
4th Perk/3 Guns glitch, you will be disqualified from the tournament, and seeing as you are warned, you will not be refunded your money.
I do have a method in seeing whether this is occurring or not. Don't be fooled.

Edit: Once I reach 15-20 okays, I'll begin to start everything up.

Just a thought, let me know what you guys think.

    How would 1v1 work out?
Like second place would automatically receive a refund, or are you not doing 1v1's at all?

1v1s would consist of more than 2 teams. For example, a 1v1 tournament hosting 10 teams. Those teams would each pay an entry fee. Out of that, the first place entrant would get most of the prize money, 2nd place recieving it's entrance fee back.

What theres another kid who flames because I won't sell him my GB account for cheap? Gamebattles requires you to pay for credits using a credit card.
I'm simply trying to import tournaments into Sythe. Thanks bud.
Also.. When winning a tournament on Gamebattles, you usually don't recieve the money for a REALLY long time.
This way, it would be almost instant.

    How is this leaving feedback.
It's leaving a comment towards another user, not towards the thread, being off topic.
    On another note..
I've added a poll, vote yes, or no if you think I should start hosting.

How do you think people will pay to get in here?

Using PayPal... which either requires, guess what? A credit card or a bank account.

And let me tell you, the demographics here are different. By that, I mean a lot, lot younger.

This won't work for that reason alone, the absence of a payment method, most of the money would unknowingly come from parents or stolen materials.

    There's my feedback.

I actually support some Sythe ran tournaments. There are many games that allow a spectator mode, so a referee could be present to confirm wins. I think doubles or teams would be more fun than the 1v1's but either way.

    Sythe ran tournies, maybe.

But not an individually ran tournament.

What gives him the authority to uptake it?

Since I would be running them, I as I stated, I would be recording, and spectate the entire game. making sure that the winners aren't cheated in any way.
1v1's may be just an easier way to beat out the opponent I guess.
If you were to click the link in my sig, you would notice that I've shown some initiative into getting Sythe to host tournaments. Since I don't believe that is going to happen, I figured I would host them myself. It would be the same concept, only with me running it, instead of the owner of the website.

I got rid of my Halo 3, so I would not be able to spectate that.
    This is just a starter.
If this thing gets going, I will be expanding to other games.
    GoW, Halo, etc.

I'm going to leave this up until the end of the weekend, and get responses.
If there are enough, I will start organizing some tournaments.
