I'm sure the sythe adminstration(staff) decided this as a whole, but it was a smart decision.

That is, to remove vouches for currency.

This update will help remove pointless vouches counted as "trust" causing less people to train 1-2 levels, and then scam someone for 40m.

Ye i agree also great update. People have almost 10 vouches from doing tuts and say they are trusted. This update really helped to get rid of that.

 

Are normal serious vouches still in use?

 

This isn't eliminating vouches, it's taking them away as currency.

 

Its always been a rule. I'm just making them a lot more stricter in User Services.

Should help get rid of some scammers getting free vouches...

Honestly though, I know the motivations are good (remove scammers b/c not as many people will have nubby vouches), but will the "crackdown" ultimately remove free training? Because I train accounts for free, but I don't do it so I can get vouches and appear more trusted - I just want to help people out. Are we still allowed to do free training? And anyways, I don't think that it's fair to not allow people to get vouches for small things - it's not the fault of everyone who likes to do small jobs that one moron didn't look through a person's vouches for respected/important vouches and got scammed, right?

 

The rule has always been there. The crackdown is simply to try to stop potential scammers from gaining trust. Free training is not being removed, but threads such as "training for a vouch" will be locked. This means that free training IS still allowed. If the person has done a good job and not removed anything on the account, then you may vouch them.

However, how will you know if you want to vouch someone before they have even done/started the job? Your vouch should include feedback on how the trade went. Eg:

That is a vouch, explains how the trade went, and what you should be prepared for when future members trade with you. It also gives you feedback on what you should work on.
