He didn't read the rules that the topic starter posted. What he was posting is basically spam, as the topic poster refused to accept people with less than 1k, yet he posted. It showed he didn't read everything.

    Warranted I think o.o

He didn't read TJ's thread, like a moron, and got what he deserved.

Just because someone makes up rules for a topic does not mean the post is spam. That's absolutely ridiculous. He acknowledged the rule and was asking for an exception. He is NO WAY BROKE ANY SYTHE.ORG RULES.

I can understand if it was someone with 100 posts saying "i'll do it" but for that shit there's no reason to infract him. Badger is basically threatening to kick him off of the forum for wanting to donate. That's ludicrous.

How am I threatening to kick him off the forum? I just stated the reasons as to why its warranted. You've GREATLY misconstrued what I said.

If he acknowledged the rules he wouldn't of posted, he could of easily PM'ed TJ and asked for an exception. By posting it's the same as him not even reading the rules in the first post. His edited post (if he didn't edit it again) is spam anyways now.

Actually, it is not respecting the wishes of the thread starter. I started a feedback thread a while back, praising the mods for the hard work and i specifically said if you're going to call me an asskisser, don't fucking post. Several people still called me an asskisser.

Sport, fuck off. No one is going to give you shit. Go get laid.

By giving people infractions that is threatening to kick them off the website given that a certain number of infractions are met.

He broke NO RULES by posting on TJ's thread. You need to infract people based on the official rules, not however you please.

The only reason he edited his post was because he got a bullshit infraction in the first place. He would not have edited it if he had not been infracted.

Show me exactly where this is prohibited in the sythe.org rules.

Just ignore him and he'll probably go away.

TJ was specific on what he didn't want but there was no reason for an infraction since the guy seemed legit.

Sport, post proof or fuck off. Why don't you fucking stop evading and gtfo?

Giving a person an infraction is a warning/reminder that there are people who enforce the rules and that he/she should abide by them. I think it's well known that the rules aren't necessarily written in stone.

I'm not going to argue about my views on the meaning of infractions vs yours, because that's not really the point here. There's nothing in the rules that even hint at being infracted for something like this. It makes the entire staff look bad when these things happen.

He was infracted because his post was useless. He knew that he wasn't going to get service because he had less than 1,000 posts, yet he still posted anyway.

He made a genuine post which was absolutely not spam in any way, shape or form. Nothing he posted was against the rules.

    * Posting (short), unhelpful comments (such as "cool", "nice acc," etc).

The post was not helpful because it didn't apply to the standards that the OP laid out. If he knew he was going to be declined because the OP had said he'd decline anyone without these standards, he shouldn't have posted.

He did not post any of that. He posted:
How exactly is that "unconscionable," again?

As far as I can tell he did not know he would be declined or infracted. He made an offer. TJ could have just said no, and/or Badger could have removed the post without incident.

Those are examples. What he posted was not helpful, therefore it falls under that topic.

Read the second sentence of that quote.

I'll say this for one last time. He disregarded the rules stated by TJ and posted while he did not have 1,000 posts. He was warned by TJ in the original post that if they did not go by the rules the user will be reported and infracted. Spam consists of what is stated in the rules and not reading the original post and posting anyways.

    Here is an example:
    Player A (Thread starter)
    Player B (Spammer)

Player A states that he is selling a Runescape account for $100 Paypal, no other methods of transferring money and that if anyone else posts with an offer that is not Paypal they will be reported.

Player B posts and offer and offers $100 Western Union (fees paid).

Player A reports Player B for spamming as he did not acknowledge the starting post.

Player B receives an infractions and hopefully learns from his mistake.

So what you're saying is that TJ calls the shots and makes the rules around here? TJ, the guy who was banned for like half a year for flaming Sythe's sponsors?

Btw, your example is off. IWCMORE did in fact acknowledge TJ's rules and was asking for an exception.

Nothing he posted was spam (unless you count his edit after his bullshit infraction).

There's really not that much more to it.

I don't really see how the 2nd sentence applies to this... His post was not against the rules to begin with so how could he get a harsher punishment for it? I would assume that could be applied to that guy who was spamming earlier, though....

If you think the post should be deleted, then why shouldn't it be infracted? ...

I don't think it should be, but that's up to the OP since it's his thread. There's absolutely no reason to infract someone for making a legitimate post, though.
