1.0 - Introduction

For starters I'm guessing that you already know just what the KQ is but if you don't it is a lvl 333 monster with two different forms. The first a bug which has mage and range prayer, the second is a type of bee that has melee prayer on. The way to get around its prayer is the barrows armour "Veracs" which disregards prayer and defense of the monster.

2.0 - Suggested Requirments To Do The KQ

1. Friend you can trust
2. 110+ (save lots of money and goes a lot faster than low levels)
3. 60+ Prayer

Now this is the inventory I take. I go with a lvl 124 friend and have never used a single prayer pot dose yet; Even with both 15% attack and str on. However there is a chance that if your prayer is low, and also your combat, then you will probley have to dose atleast once.

3.0 - Gear



This is the BEST inventory to use but can be done with some items replaced for lower quality ones. I use a Dragon Dagger (s) with a zammy prayer book because its the best chance of hitting the KQ with posion. Can trade out the Onxy Ammy for a Glory, the Fire Cape with a Legends or Obby, or the climbing boots with rune if you feel uncomfortable. I'll give you a break down of what you can change out.

New add on: Since the release of consturction you can now make tele tablets. If you make them to your house, you'll only need to carry 1 spot for a teleport. Tele to your house, use your alter, tele with a glory ammy on your wall, then repeat.

Also: You can now take a rune defender for added accuracy with your DDS specs. But be aware of the run bug with the defender, it could get you killed.

3.1 - Break Down Of Gear

- Full Veracs
- Ammy - Fury or Glory
- Cape - Fire, Skill, Obby, Legends, Gods
- Boots - Rune, Climbing, Normal
- Gloves - Barrows, Family crests
- Ring - Wealth, Life (not recommended since you want a chain)
- Sheild - Rune Defender, Prayer Book, Obby Sheild (only wore during Specials)
- Weapon - Veracs Flail, Dragon Dagger (s) or (p)

3.2 - Break Down Of Inventory

- 1 Rope (friend MUST have the other)
- Charged Glory (on your neck or inventory depending on choice of ammy)
- Prayer pot (4)
- Super Set (4) (only need one dose per trip)
- Anti Posion (4)
- Sharks
- Tele runes to lummy (for recharge prayer after KQ)
- Shanty Passes

4.0 - Steps To The KQ

Step 1: Head to the Shanty Pass, gear up and get ready to run to the cave.

Step 2: Use your rope on the hole in order to climb down.

Step 3: Click on this far room and you'll walk all the way to the end.



Step 4: Once you get to this next hole have your friend use his rope on the hole. Then pot up before going down into the KQ's cave. (Warning: Turn Magic Prayer on before you go down into this last hole; remember to keep it on the whole time.)



Step 5: Run straight to the far end of the cave (Will be a straight line)

5.0 - Strategy For Killing The KQ

* Remember to have Magic Prayer on the whole fight *

Step 6: The most effective way to kill the KQ is by using a 12,6 technique. Imagine a clock's 12 and 6 positions, right across from each other, a perfect line. Example of 12,6:



Also a good idea to have one person in charge of setting up the 12,6 technique. Other wise you will be running all over the place. Now for the hitting, start off with the dragon dagger, unload the 4 specials and then switch to the Veracs Flail. At this point you will no longer need to switch weapons.

Step 7: After the KQ is dead tele to lummy, re-charge prayer, tele to Al Kharid and repeat the process.

- The Green dot is where to tele after the KQ is killed.
- The Blue dot is where you tele to Al Kharid after re-chargeing prayer.

7.0 - KQ's List of Drops

Dragon medium helmet, Rune Warhammers, Dragon chainbody, Lava battlestaff, Mithril arrows (500), Iron arrows, Dragon longsword, Amulet of power, Air runes, Coins (1-3000), Herbs, Gems, Adamantite spear, Rune axe, Law Runes, Rune chainmail, 20 Wine of Zamorak (note), Nature runes (75), Dragon mace, Dragon spear, Blood runes (19), Death runes (30), Fire runes (600), Half of a key, Shield left half, rune kite, rune arrows(100), lobster (7) and oyster pearls (40), Nothing and Dragon 2-Hander.

8.0 - Sharing Drops

Of course not everyone is going to be the same level as their partner, thus the drops could be uneven. As a suggestion, a 50/50 split should take place on all drops. If you get a lava battle staff, don't bother selling it and spliting the money, just wait for another one to drop. Trust me, you'll get another one. As for that, just be fair and trustworthy.
