Christians- At Least Respect Us

You may think Christianity is just for people to rely on something and that God does not exist. Or whatever you think about Christianity.

But... At least respect us what have we ever done to you? You may think were crazy but Christianity is based on what is right. Would you rather the world to be filled with good Christians or atheists. Good Christians won't cheat, steal, lie ext. regardless if you do or not.


Response to some people

There are a lot of people that say they are Christians but do not live a Christian life stile. 85% of people in America say that their Christians but id say only 10% of them are genuine Christians.

There are some Christians that will shove their Christianity down your throats (some people go door to door). I'm not like that ill tell some one about Christianity but if their not interested id just be wasting my time. But don't atheist do some throat shoving?

I don't think that religion should be taught in public schools if they could teach Christianity then they could teach any other religion.

Christians (at least Catholics) can believe in evolution. But if we were apes or something we would be apes with free will.

most atheists are atheists because they choose not to even consider either side of "is God is real or not". This almost seems more ignorant...but there are also atheists who have thought out every aspect of creation in a scientifically matter and thats worth respecting to. Then again there are many Christians who are intelligent to, is it right to co-exist atheism with intelligence...you many consider them less ignorant as well but that is more of an opinion then fact.

 

I'm not actually atheist, i rather consider myself agnostic, and i don't care what people believe in.

 

Depends mostly on the person. People with Doctorates in Christian Theology can't be called unintelligent, but can still be ignorant. Of course I think that being an atheist without ever considering the possibility of a God first is also ignorant. Also Christians who think out the possibility of there not being a God also deserve respect, whether they be wrong or not. That's the reason you're on my respect list. You can argue your religion. You don't seem to be one of the people that follow blindly like so many that I know.

 

Would you rather a world full of sheep or leaders?

Not to sayn that all christians are sheep, but a lot have that personality.

How about a world where you don't need to be Christian to be elected to the United States Congress? How about a world where you are not shunned from the church based on your beliefs?

 

Well said. Everyone thinks the Muslim who is running for President has a chance of being elected. Psh fat chance. Hilary Clinton has a better chance even though she's a woman. I know that the entire southern part of the US will vote against any non Christian no matter thier political standpoint.

I don't think my dad is an ignorant person, he's a scientist himself and a christian and I don't think how he isn't intelligent.

Depends on what branch of science he's in. With most branches of science, you can't believe both science and religion, unless you're good at doublethink. And who says I believe something different from science? Just because your dad is a scientist doesn't make his word or beliefs scientific law. Also, I'm the one who doesn't follow religion. Religion constricts thought. Science provokes thought. Am I the narrow minded person? Religion has been holding back science and new discoveries ever since the Renaissance. Scientists had to hold back some of thier theories to avoid getting burned at the stake for heracy. Those theories are things we now know to be fact. It seems like the church and it's followers are the ones who have been holding back new knowledge, so my deduction is that they are the narrowminded ones.

You can do science and believe in religion, there is a way.

He works with astronomy.

He doesn't believe in the big bang, doesn't think it's possible.

Of course, that was the Catholic religion which is a lot different from the protestant.

And Most protestants/christians don't know what they believe in.

I'm not sure if I believe in the big bang now either. Some scientists think that there is not actually one universe, but several "multiverses". If you look at most famour scientists such as Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, and more that I don't want to take the time to make sure I'm correct, are atheists.

As far as I know ALL Christians are either Protestant or Catholic. With that statement made, then yes it is a corrupt religion, I've been there, I know.

 

yes I agree with you on the case that the christian religion is corrupted in every way now and most followers, (i'd say 85-90%) aren't true christians and just are the usual Sunday Christians.

For those who say Christianity and catholicism are the same...

I have seen Catholics persecute protestants in other countries (Nothing goes on the US). And why? Maybe they can tell us? or NOT. lol

Christians need to get firm on their beliefs, I am firm, but most arent.
