Jagex Real World Trading. Threat or Bluff?

I think they seriously are just trying to scare people. Many people have sold Billions on sythe without being baned. Its just a scare tactic.

 

Good post I have honestly been thinking about this for quite some time.. But I honestly think they are bluffing, HOW CAN THEY DETECT WITH OVER A MILLION people registered and sometimes over 200,000 playing? so easy? how can it be? their staff isn't even full, mods are hardly EVER on.. if they are.. they at frickin zezimas birthday party .. ? or him getting married? don't even make since, they can't detect it.. bunch of BULL CRAP!

 

Obviously but I take precautions and only do my trades via duel arena and I make the other guy stake at least 100k x)

 

I think they're bluffing. This is like the 3rd warning they've done. It's just such a big issue for them and they can't handle it.

 

ownedwithgaxe and runescapepkz make great points, theres no possible way they can ban people for this easily, they just gotta get lucky and catch em at the right time which like earlier said, over 200,000 ppl at a time playing thats a bit tough

 

its a bluff i think but better safe then sorry i use the duel arena when buying mils i think its safer.

 

its always been a scare tactic and thats most likely all it will ever be. its pretty easy to come up with an appeal for real world trading.

 

They always say they ban a high number, but it is never a lot compared to all the amounts of cheaters, they just always make up bullcrap to try and scare people. But cheaters now already know to ignore any threats from Jagex.

Theres no way they can legally ban you if they do find your name on the sites.

 

I've bought over 10M, MMed trades, and basically cheated in general on one of my pures for over a year now and I still have 0 black marks. Bluff much?

But even if they're not bluffing, it's a stupid rule. If people want to spend their OWN money on a bunch of pixels, so be it.

 

Serious. Ive been banned on numerous occasions for breach of rule 7. I think however, they focus their attention on the seller rather then the buyers.

 

i think they are bluffing about them actually doing it. but i think they have some sort of system that detects out of range trades (10m for a pot of flour or whatever)

i dont real world item trade usually..., because i dont like taking risks, so I work ( or macro ) for my money, i dont see the point in using real life money in a game that you could just get without paying real money.

 

Um i don't think its bullshit alot of rich players have been banned because of Selling Gold

Duke Freedom was banned because he was selling items / gold on ebay

 

They are serious, I quit the game after my main account with about 1.2 Billion in cash and items was banned for real life trading. I still made about $650 off the game which is pretty ok, even though I could have made around $5,000. And your true about all the people selling billions here, I was just talking to R2P and he said he has sold around 5.5 Billion! :0

Looks quite serious. Lots of people are getting banned for this..A few of my friends got banned.

 

they are not bluffing becasue my freidns account got banned for buying mills it sed following reson "real life tradeing" they must brows forums and and look for ppl that post there rs name because he posted his noos account n then traded it to his main n both is noob account and main were banned he tried to last chance appeal but it was declined about 10mins after.

 

Im thinking its half serious half bluff. because they probably have a couple of the companys that sell gold give them the RS names to bann them, but they mostlikly cant detect it.
