Dark Souls III

Sitting here bored waiting for it to be released. I've never been so excited to get my ass kicked in a game. Anyone else on the hype train?

 

Cannot wait. I believe whoever invented leap year intended to make me wait one extra day for it... I've just been running through Dark souls 1 in the meantime.

 

I never played 1 actually, I got caught up in the hype around 2 and was looking for a challenge. Did not disappoint, and I've been waiting for 3 ever since.

 

Honestly Dark souls 2 was super easy for me and I got bored with it after like 2 play throughs. I highly recommend you play Dark souls 1 if you get the time, even after Dark souls 3. I had preordered it on xbox, but I couldn't play my saved data on the one, so I've been playing on 360 lol.

 

Feel ashamed to say I haven't touched the series however the genre is a favourite of mine , friends have ever only said good things about them so might have to pick one up.

Is there a major story and how much would I be missing out on if I were to start at 3?

 

I would say yes, but at the same time you could just google and read all about them if you really wanted..

Never played any of the previous ones but I got caught up in the hype this year. Going to make sure to play it after exams. Hopefully it goes well despite having no previous knowledge of the game.

 

Played through 2, was the first dks I've played. Just picked up 3 and plan on running through it. Looking forward to it.

 

I haven't been able to put it down. If you don't want to claw your eyeballs out, start your character as a knight for 100% physical shield. I started as an assassin and it has been rough.

 

Really enjoying the game 3 is the first I have played and I'm disappointed I have never tried the originals. Building a knight currently been using halberds so far been a lot of fun. I enjoy the multiplayer and the way the game kind of just lets you figure everything out for yourself without the hand holding of most other games like this.

 

Yeah the "alone" feeling is great. If halberds are giving you any trouble, try the longsword/broadsword. Really quick DPS.

 

Bought it about a week ago. Didn't play much at first because it would crash constantly, but I fixed it so I've been playing a shit ton. It's my first Dark Souls game and I'm loving it. I had a knight but then I switched to Assassin and I've been doing a lot better lol

 

Hmm, when you were a knight, were you fat rolling? Although I do not play any character over 70% equipment load.
