This sort of stuff occurs in all wars; regardless of the countries fighting. Nothing new.

Personally, I think that palestine and israel need to combine to form one country with the capital being Tel Aviv. Jerusalem will then become it's own Jewish Country, similar to how Vatican City is the Catholic country within the country of Italy.

In the new super country, Israelis and Palestinians will each get 50% representation in parliament. Also, if the first in command is Israeli, the second-in-command has to be palestinian, and vice-versa.

And if they refuse to get along, declare war on them. People learn how to get along very well when they're fighting on the same side against a common enemy.

 

that is , in theory, a nice suggestion, but i am doubtful it would work well in reality.

actually, before 1948, one of the Zionist leaders, named Jabotinsky, hoped that this situation could come true, he also suggested the president and vice-president idea.


sadly it doesnt work out in reality, and certainly wont work out now after over 80 years of mutual bloodshed

the only peaceful solution to be made is 2 states for 2 peoples, the problem is , again, that the Palestinian nostalgy for "all of palestine, from jordan river ot the sea" is one of the major roadblocks for peace.

i have long given up my hope of having my state include all of historic land of israel, im willing to share with the palestinians, assuming it brings peace.
