What's the OS is it android?

Nice to finally talk to you, nice bargains and investment. Is the 600m price firm?

 

Typing this out for everyone reading this.

The OS is WebOS. What you get is what you get. It may be picked up again in the future but the OS has been dropped/abandoned (as well as production of the tablet). Smaller communities are working at making the Touchpad better via OS customizations. The same smaller communities are trying to get Android on it. Currently the closest that's been achieved is Android 2.2 (Froyo) which wasn't completely successful itself. It's a start, but it still needed a lot of work. (It's a dream! Gogo!)

Currently the cheapest Android 3.0+ tablet would be the ASUS Transformer for a little under 400 at retail value (depending on location). So as you can see, throughout the pluses/negatives, the price is definitely something to be considered. But it all depends on if you think it's worth it (weigh out the benefits for the costs) just like with any product.

Just a little information for others wondering what the deal is. The more you know!

Also, it runs webOS as Lil Joker said. I actually enjoy it much more than Android, however, there's a lack of applications on it for those of you who want to download a bunch of shit on it. It still has the basics of what I use such as Office and Pandora.

How the hell did you manage to get so many? Everywhere I ordered cancelled if I had more than one. Even my single order of just one got cancelled (Barnes and Noble) :/

I'll offer 250m for one though.

A little more information on the OS of the Touchpad.

Production of Touchpad has been cancelled, although this doesn't mean WebOS has been cancelled.

HP is still developing WebOS. So the OS isn't dead unlike many people say it is.

 

HP is debating on whether they should continue developing. What happened was, the CEO freaked out and fucked everything, but they replaced him. The new person seems more calm about it and might continue it.

 

Do you think there is anyway that the OS can be changed?

 

Cyanogenmod's working on having Android on it. I have the Alpha version on the one I'm personally using.

 

If you could help me put the alpha version on there if I purchased one I really might be tempted.

 

I can put it on there before shipping it if you wish, or guide you through it and you can do it yourself.
