tX-Bot: A Runescape Bot
A Project of Chad Sexington and SMR.

Current Status: Recruiting Development Team Members

What are we looking for?

• Experienced programmers. (not necessarily Java)
• Programmers that are willing to learn.
• People who work well in a team, and contribute easily.
• People with distinct abilities in the field of mathematics.
• Logical thinkers.

If you fill in all of the above roles, you are a candidate for our project's development team. A preferred combined total of 5 members would be nice, but we will work with what we can get.

Why are we looking for people?

• Designing a project of high magnitude by yourself is VERY tedious.
• We realize people get distracted, as SMR and I have had our fair share of distractions while coding.
• The more, the merrier.
• If we can find a few people of equal programming knowledge, designing a BCEL-engine bot will be a lot easier.

What are our expectations of people accepted on the team?

• You MUST contribute at least 1 function / portion of code per one completed by the dev-team , until it is a complete project. This is done as both a learning experience, and the idea that things will only get done if the people behind it do work. Slacking is not welcome.
• You must maintain a decent reputation on Sythe.org or some other large programming website.
• You must have a good attitude.
• You must have knowledge of one major programming language, and willingness to learn Java.
• You must maintain good use of English, or German.

Project Specifications/Goals

• Written in Java, implementing the Java Bytecode-Engineering Library to invoke certain programmer defined functions in the game 'Runescape'.
• Minimize each invoke to its own file to allow for easy scripting.
• Document each invoke to allow for easy scripting.
• Protect and maintain the source of the bot itself.
• Allow for user-made invokes to expand the bots' capabilities.

This seems interesting, and I'd apply, but I'm quite busy at the moment with classes, and finals not being too far away.

Why do you think you could help us design tX-Bot? because i was working on a bot with a friend a while back,but he gave up and id like to do it again, it was pretty intresting.

Mastered what languages?: None unless you call mIRC scripting a language, not...
Learning what languages?: Whatever I seem to find the time for.
Good knowledge in what languages?: I know some what of HTML although it's been ages since I've done anything in it so I probably shouldn't be counting that as anything. Not much knowledge in most programming, but I can learn just about anything at a very advanced rate.
If given a programming challenge in one of the above known languages, could you complete it?: I'd have to read up on the language, but if it wasn't extremely advanced most likely.
Why do you think you could help us design tX-Bot?: I saw the mathematics and logic, lol, I'm in. I can do very high level mathematical equations as well as do anything that would require the slightest bit of math.
Final note: I could maybe add something, or maybe nothing, I leave that up to you to decide. I have never taken part in something like this before and they usually don't go very far, I'd like to change that with the little that I may be able to offer.

Why do you think you could help us design tX-Bot?:

I could help the team design Tx-bot because I am a logical thinker, When I approach a project I vie with myself to do better. As I am not a programmer, I realise that my chances of being accepted are lowered, but remember behind every great team of superheros there is someone back at base keeping tabs on performance and keeping track of sidetasks.

If Batman got sidetracked and forgot there was a bomb in Gotham he wouldn't be much of a hero would he?
