Unhappy with Firez's moderating, making up rules on spot

I'm refering to this thread made by firez AFTER i made a thread asking to buy rs gold but would only do transactions on feb 1st.

when I made my original first post i included everything in my post except for contact. in contact information i had "contact: send me PM" and i got my post deleted and 2 infractions recieved. ok fair enough i should've put my msn on there.


so i made my post again and included my MSN this time, only to have my post removed again and recieve another infraction. then firez makes a sticky post after deleting my post saying to refrain from posting things such as:

"Buying x gp after Feb 1"

'I'll sell only after the first".


now i don't see how i broke this rule when there wasn't one in the first place only to have firez make up this rule on the spot and giving me an additional infraction afterwards. i sent a PM to firez to clear up this issue and have waited over 4 hours with no reply so now i'm escalating it one level by this feedback here of firez's unfair moderating.


and just to ensure i follow the rules strictly for this post too i'm gonna following the sticky thread about how to do complaints

State why ________ was unwarranted: because there was no rule against posting asking to buy rs gold on or after feb first, i didn't break any rules. firez made his sticky post after he deleted my post.

He never made it up, it's just that I don't think anyone made the sticky, or it may have been hidden.

Not putting contact information isn't an infractable offense..?

 

Exactly what I was thinking. He shouldn't have been infracted for anything, because he broke no rules. You can't punish someone for breaking a rule, before it's actually officially a rule.

 

What you people dont realise is that Firez posted that thread on the 21st whilst top_of_da_day only joined on the 23rd. This means the 'rule' was in effect already.

IMO Firez is one of the best moderators around.. and i believe that both those offences are infract-able. Simply posting "Send me a PM" is considered spam.. whilst the whole Feb 1st situation was posted in a sticky.

My advice... read the stickies in future.

 

Are you saying that if I made a thread and wanted whoever was interested to Private Message me instead of giving out my MSN, that it would be deemed as spam?

 

That isn't spam to me when you post a thread and asking to be contacted through PM. He is not posting anything spam, but just letting others know what he wants to buy. If he asked to be contacted through PM, it's affecting no one in anyway.

 

I agree FireZ is a great mod, but putting send me a pm instead of putting your msn definitely is not spam.
