Anyone with experience in the RC car field...

Well a few years ago I bought this like 150$ rc car from Associated and i lost it and have since bound an interest into rc cars again. I'm wondering on which type of car i should get and from where? I'm talking about like team losi, associated, traxxas and all that. Not the gay little toys r us cars. I'm mainly going to be using it in the street and sometimes off road but not heavily off road.

Gas one would cost too much $$$ since gas is now $3.50+...

I really hope that is sarcasm... I don't think a little RC car (well gas ones are a tad bigger) can consume a noteworthy amount of gasoline.

Well, sorry I don't know about all of the different types of RC cars. I just figured that if you used a gas one then it would use gas which is expensive as hell now.. Am I right? It uses gas which means more "$$$" out of your pocket/wallet/purse... Even if it doesn't have a big tank, it most likely isn't the most full efficient RC car our there...

The tank would realistically be $2 to fill.

    Are you serious?

Those things probably get close to 500 mpg, if not, more.

One gallon of gas would last you so long.

It's kind of common sense that something that weighs maybe 10 lbs would be gas efficient.

I've never lifted one, and if I had I'm not a scale so I wouldn't we able to tell how much it weighs.

Ummm...I'm a big fan of gas stadium trucks and regular trucks. My last truck was an HPI Rush. It was a stadium truck but I beat the balls off of it and it was like 3 years old so it was time to get another one.

Being that I loved my last stadium truck so much I went out and bought the "Jato" Its a 3.3 motor (the same motor that they put into their new truck which is so much heavier lol. The thing flys, they say on the box that it goes around 70Mph. My friends truck does 55 we (we clocked it on one of those "you are going this fast" things). And its much heavier sooo I figure mine goes around that.

Didn't upgrade much, just a new airfilter which you can see. New arms because I snapped 1 of them last time. But now I need to get a new shock because the other one blew out and cracked.

Over all I love my jato takes a beating lol. Ive flipped it crashed it took it off jumps and it hasn't given me any real problems.

Its gas of course, it does use a pull start it uses an "E Z start" which is like a battery operated motor that cranks the piston.

It was about 500 bucks which I regret spending because I could have gotten something I could put to better use. But if your looking to get a new one make sure you don't lose it and look into a jato...Heres some pics still pretty dirty although I air blasted it.

Oh and by the way, it doesn't run of regular gas. I have a feeling thats what people think haha. It runs off of "nitro fuel" they call it. The can cost 30bucks and it goes by pretty quick. The cars burn threw a tank in like 10 minutes (could be the way I use it)

    Good shit reddogwwa, good shit
that truck is sweet, but it looks more like a truggy in my eyes :D
anyways i ended up ordering an electric exceed champion...seems decent and has the ability to drift as well which is sweet lol
I decided that i didn't want to deal with the high maintenence of nitros and their noise (since i live in a gated community). heres a video on it:

    95$ for one.

    Thanks =)
Just watched the video, thats a nice little car =). I didn't know 2 things. 1 that you lived in a gated community. The sound would drive them crazy haha. 2 that you liked cars for some reason I assumed you liked trucks/stadium trucks.

It is a bit much to keep up on maintenance and stuff, but I like doing that sort of thing. + I like getting them dirty and take it off jumps etc. . .haha.

    GL with the car...specs?

i find rc cars in general pretty cool. i'm just buying a car for now maybe later i'll find a track somewhere near and purchase some other nitro or electric vehicle. This Exceed company that makes them i guess you can say resembles HPI alot lol
