Now I can power my pubes shaver whenever! Serious though I think that this is a great advance ment. I'm tired of someone tripping over my PC cord and shutting me down:/

    Wireless Electricity.

This has been around for a while. The guy that invented AC current was building towers to power the country when he ran out of money.

    Sup guise.

I heard this new invention called 'batteries' (pronounced 'bat-er-ees') does the same exact thing without wasting money on something as useless as this.

Yea... Nikola Tesla invented this a LONG time ago... If some other dude had not beat him to sending a radio single across the Atlantic, which made him lose his funding we might have already been using it... Also, the dude who sent the first radio wave across used like 9+ of Tesla's patents to get it done...

Tesla was going to build huge towers to do it, and I think he managed to lite a light bulb about a mile away from the source... If I remember correctly.

It sounds like something that could potentially start huge fires, not a good thing

When people are thinking of ways to make wireless electricity, they should be thinking of other fuel sources

If companies started using these like Tesla had wanted, you would save money and gas by not having to drive everywhere checking wires and such...

I really do think this technology is a greener solution to getting us electricity that wires... :/

If this was made on a "giant" scale, it could power cars.

i think this is really cool and could develop to something much bigger... Lets say they did this on a bigger scale, and powered the whole world in this way, as thye have 3G internet now etc.

Tesla who invented wireless electricity wanted to power the world with large towers that transmit electricity, video, voice, ect. :/

It just doesn't make sense - Electricity requires a conductor, does it not? =/

I have no idea how it works, but you can send electricity through the air. If you have small machine you can light up a light bulb in the same room, but I think Tesla was able to light a light bulb about a mile away from the machine thing... If he had no lost funding, we might have not had power lines today... Someone beat him to sending a radio signal across the Atlantic... They used 9 of Tesla's patents though... The dude funding Tesla though that Tesla's work was pointless if someone just did that so he lost his funding... Tesla was way ahead of his time but anyways... It is possible... I have no idea how, but it does work... :/

Maybe (i'm going to be using basic science that i've acquired threw time, please don't criticize just correct) if we used electricity to power much larger machines instead of using fossil fuels, the energy source would last practically forever because it is recycled into the atmosphere anyway, but it would also probably make more lightning storms reoccurring, but they could also make a conductor that would absorb the bolts of electricity.

All in all, I say this invention or idea will lead into more complex solutions with it being a base.

Wouldn't a current have to jump through the air?

Well it has potential to cause a lot of damage incase something goes wrong. Can you imagine sparks of electricity just zapping every in range and starting off fires?
