Yes, hello there. I'm Resident. You know, that guy from the IRC. The oper you all know and hate. If you are reading this post, I've probably banned you at some point or another, and if I haven't, I will.

For anyone who actually visits the IRC, you'll know that I recently resigned my position as an IRC Operator. Shinoda will be taking over, and I have the greatest confidence in him and his abilities. You all better fucking respect him. I'm always watching you.


No one who doesn't use the IRC will remember me, but I've been here almost two years. That's a long time for a website of this nature. Tragic to see that it's gone downhill; there are lots of good people here, and I think that's what I'll miss the most about this place.

Before I go into a big speech about shit, I'd like to thank/recognize some people here.

To begin with, Curt. You really are a good guy. I don't think anyone else but you would have given me this oppourtunity to be a part of the staff of that little chat community. To you goes my everlasting gratitude.

Thorpe. I have to say, you've had quite a time here, running Sythemils, having your status in the IRC (which is really all I recognize as worth anything), global moderator on the forums, etc. You're a good guy, Travis, but you just don't learn. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you prove my point.

Filefragg. As with curt, I really have to thank you. You've always come through for me in the end, helped me out, given me oppourtunities and overall been a pal for as long as I've really known you. I hope we stay in touch outside of that hell hole.

Sythe. For starting the IRC. I honestly hate you for your arrogance and the fact that you're an over-eccentric nutcase (IT'S A FLIPPING CONSTANT!), but that can all be overlooked for the simple fact that it was all because of that IRC that I have learned so much about everything, and I really can't thank you enough for allowing it.

Yakov. Honestly, I don't know why you hated me. I really hope you remember and get back to me on that some day. It will forever haunt me. In the end, though, we did make up. Cheers to that.

Matthew (Dark Night). For letting me post this, where no one else would take it upon themselves to unban me even momentarily. <3 you.

The members of the IRC (The regulars, anyway). I really appreciate your help. You backed me up until the end, here and now. Honestly, I will miss all of you. I don't hate you; I never have. All in good fun. If you don't have my MSN, ask someone for it. I don't want everything to end just because I'm leaving the chat.

Last, but especially not least, Shinoda. I really think you can do better than I can in there. In you lies something I just didn't see in any of the other members. I thought, who could replace me? Who could fit the job? Shinoda. It rang through my mind. You can, and will, excel at what you do. Qualities undefinable, your future is bright. Good luck, Shin.


It's been a pleasure, it really has. I've made so many friends, had so much fun, it's going to be tough to really leave. I see now why everyone comes back in the end. It's not the lure of runescape, not the oppourtunity, it's the people. And that's all it takes; good people. Good luck to everyone.

As for me, I'll just fill you in on a few things. I'm not really an asshole as I am so portrayed in the IRC. I don't really hate you (Except Spereff, you're a fucking cock sucker. So are you, Boom_Headshot). If I banned you, it was a joke. If I kicked you, it was a joke. Nothing was out of seriousness. I'm not really a bad person. Just get to know me. All you guys need to do is learn how to take and recognize a joke. The IRC is NOT that important so that you have to be there each and every second it's running. I'm leaving, because I couldn't realize that fact, and I'm sick of worrying about what's being said when I'm not there. I have other priorities. Enlistment, school, life. All are above this damned chat room. It's a pleasure to be there, sometimes, but really, it's not an essential.

As an afterword, I'd just like to suggest some things. Grow up, some of you. Get a sense of humour, others. Learn when and where, the rest. The IRC is a breeding ground for stupidity at some points, and I just can't do anything about it anymore. It's your problem now. Shinoda, Filefragg, Curt, and thorpe. They are the staff. They are the people who make the fucking rules. And you. You are the person that follows the fucking rules. Do as such. Don't fuck up; I'm Always Watching.
