However my GF used to play and has an old account with same random items which apparently are worth a decent amount. I was sort of giving her a tour and opening her up to the world that is video game gold selling, power leveling and all that jazz. She was pretty surprised about how it all exists and everything. She has various old accounts from games she used to play, Gaia online, Neopets. RuneScape was the last game for her to play. Anyways... She was looking to sell her Gaia shit because she thought, "Hey why not. Might as well make a few bucks right?". So I got looking into things and I thought...

Why is Gaia online gold so cheap? It seems that 100k Gaia gold is maybe 2-4USD? My GF said that, it would be fairly difficult to earn that much?

So are there money making methods that perhaps she never knew about?

Is it due to many people having old accounts with rares on them, like she had, years later figuring, hell why not sell shit? So there are bunches of people that happen to be selling?

Is it due to there not really being a market for people to sell beause no one wants to buy? I would think this one is not true because Gaia does sell it's special cash that costs RL money, so there are definitely some people out there spending money on shit. But who knows.

Anyways. Anyone will information feel free to post. I'm always interested in just learning about other games markets and things like that. Selling/Buying/Power Leveling, everything that exists in real world trading for games happens to interest me whether I play the game or not.
