is halo 3 really that good???

ok well i just bought halo 3 before i got the xbox 360 because i thought they where gunna be sold out for a long time, so guys...i wana know if halo 3 is good or did i just waste my money...post your thoughts.. also tell me some glitch in halo 3

Online play is amazing. IF you were good at halo2, you will have some hard time adjusting to the new controls. If so, i suggest you play ONLINE first, to get used to the new controls (just the reload button is swtiched) and the new jumping is way higher. Graphics got maxed out, they are amazing. Some new weapons, and the weapons got much more balanced.

Campaign is okay, not too long though, but online is what you really want.

The ending was dissapointing for me. The length wasn't very long, 9 chapters, but it took me 4 days to beat it.

You should definitely buy it...but like masterkiller said, if you played halo 2 it willl take a bit of time....and the needler kicks ass now...just fyi

 

I think its very good, looks beautiful, and i don't think the campaign is small i think its ok, but the multiplayer it rocks, all i need is multiplayer.

 

i think they will come out with halo 4...i have halo 3 but no xbox 360 cuz im getting it for xmas so i dont know if spar117 dies at the end.. TELL MEH

The game is absolutely amazing. And for you people tat played the beta, and don't like the graphics, you need to all know that the graphics are way better on the actual game. Some good new things about the games are that there are like 5 new weapons and a couple new vehicles. Halo 3 lives up to its expectation, on the first day of sales it made 170 million dollars, Halo 2 sold 125 million dollars. Halo 3 will live on forever as an amazing game.

Bungie nailed the campaign. I finally feel that I'm getting my ass kicked by enemies that are smart and not artificially powered-up. Though the plot is just as bullshit as ever; in fact, the ending was so bad I had to blot it from my mind and pretend it didn't happen. Also, I'd advise lowering your expectations during level 2.

The multiplayer however is incredibly disappointing. The maps just plain suck. There are about 1 or 2 good maps and some "okay" ones, but the design just makes me wish I were playing Halo 2 sometimes.

 

I disagree about the maps I believe the multiplayer maps are good, although they are a bit too big. You are right about the campaign, they nailed it.

 

Yeah, all worth it.

 

Its so fun, completely worth it.

 

I agree to a certain degree of the maps designs.

Maps such as Snowbound, Valhalla, and probably two more that I don't remember the names are great.

After those four, the appeal to the maps drop significantly.

It's great to see some classic variants turned into Bungie official game types in the multiplayer.
(Zombies, Alpha Zombie, Infection, ect.)

Hated the ending...


Even though though they have new weapons, and some of the previous have been upgraded in some way, some of them are praticly worthless.
For instance, the pistol is slower than ever, it has a small clip size, and it's really weak. There's a bunch of others, but I don't feel like typing any more for now.

 

Well. I enjoyed it its a good game. BUT its toooooo short!!!! I think it took me about 3 days of play Not like alot of play but like i guess 5 hours a day. Played the beta online alot but not yet done the full one online. Its a good game and a must have for all halo lovers and also all game lovers.

To be honest, halo3 is truely amazing, best game i have ever played and well worth the money. I luv the new maps and i agree valhalla and snowbound r the best, but i think it overall has better maps than halo2, the gameplay and graphics are so much better, it does take time to get use to the grenades,reloading, and the new "equipment like the bubble shield". I give halo3 a 10 outta 10!!! btw online.... BEASTLY

 

well worth money i think got it at midnite on opening days played 4 8 hours straight online
