I had bought a upgrade from Top_Paid a little OVER a month ago he paid via sms. Just today my account was frozen with an ACTIVE CURRENT subscription through my PP account, but due to someone JUST NOW disputing the charge from his cell phone. It now says i own 180 "jcoins" and must purchase 200 for 19.99 to repay my supposed debt to be able to access my account ever again. The moral of the story is people can dispute charges at any time apparently even after the service has been done and "paid" for over a month, and scammers can and will do this to you. Account upgrades paid by phone are a very sketchy way to have your upgrades paid for due to the fact that many people selling on here are in fact CHILDREN on their PARENTS phone plans, when their parents see the charges they can and often will dispute them fucking you in the process. I thought i was getting a great deal buying an upgrade for 8m when i bought 20 for .7/m saving a little money everyway i can, buy now im in the hole $20 with a frozen account. PLEASE be careful buying upgrades in any form as it seems there are far more scammers in this particular market than there is legit. My account upgrade record is 1 good trade and 3 bad as of now and trust me im not risking it ever again. Top_Paid will dispute the upgrade payments, so dont trade with him. I wish i could have him banned but im not finding the screenshots and trade info as it was over a month ago and everything seemed fine but now i will archive it all. Im having issues getting the account unlocked as i have sent jagex and email at [email protected] If anyone has any experience in this matter please pm me with some help as i would love to get my main back with out paying this fucking ransom. This is meant to be a warning for all about upgrade services and some of the shady things that can be done to scam you if it is not in the proper place please move it.

This has always been the case for SMS upgrades.

The safest upgrades are game cards.

 

I have bought an upgrade from the same guy too before, and now just magically my account is frozen and has -180 jcoins. While this thread is alive, what would be the best way to get rid of them? On jagex's site there is only option for "PayByCash" and no word of paypal or sms.

 

PayBySMS very easy to chargeback.. Better buy paybyphone, gamecards, paysafecard.. upgrades..

 

I bought from Top_paid, 2 months a month ago.
He charged back both of them, I ended up having to spend 28M buying a 20$ UGC.
I never will buy pbp upgrades again...
