Well today my 2 year contract is up, which means another year of a new phone, and another year after that of hurry-the-fuck-up. I have At&T. I originally WAS getting the iPhone (refurbished, $99), I read some articles that said you can cancel the data plan. Unfortunately I think I am wrong about this. I can't afford $20-$30 a month on internet that I wont even use. So unless I'm wrong, no iPhonez 4 meh. So I started looking, was going with LG Incite but convinced myself no. Started looking at blackberry. I realized I don't care much for blackberry. Then I saw the Samsung Epix. It's actually very nice and I like the wi-fi and such. Too bad not many people have homebrew and Cooked ROM's for it. It also isn't very theme-able. But I'm just nitpicking now. My first choice (besides iPhone) would be the HTC Fuze, but it is out of my price range. Well IDK what to get. I don't want a simple chap phone, so don't tell me that. I'm not switching to Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc. Price range is about $150, $200 max if it's really worth it. WM 6.1 or GTFO. But I could wait till Quarter 2? http://www.mobiledia.com/carriers/att/upcoming/page1.html Here are the current Smartphones (nothing else please) http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phones/pda-phones-smartphones.jsp advice please.
Well I know that you said the iPhone is out of your price range, but if you can find a way to scrounge up enough money to get it you should. I just recently got the iPhone and I love it, its truly amazing and sooo helpful.
I found my self in a similar position to you, except that I had less money then that. And I ended up buying an LG Cookie for 120 Pounds. I have to say it has been alot better than I bargained for and I have to say it was probably the best 120 quid I had ever spent. It's now not a very BRAND new phone but it is relatively cheap considering what your paying for. Look into it, seriously.
It's not out of my price range, I can get a refurbished one for $99. The problem is paying $30 a month for the required data plan. I am almost always near Wi-Fi and so I don't need it, and when I'm not I don't think it will be a life-or-death situation were I can't wait until I get to a a hotspot.
