TL;DR: Thank God you didn't read it because it would just be another time sink. Addicting MMO's are all time wastes. Imagine how good you could be at something if you practiced it with the time that you spend everyday on the Internet.

I have finally realized it. I am so proud of myself, I finally get it. After 6 years of being addicted to MMO's I finally figured it out. The time hole, these games are sucking away our lives. Here me out before you start commenting "fake and gay". I used to believe, like many of you, that I wasn't addicted and I just played for fun. But, I was addicted. The rush of PvP in Runescape, the WSG games/ getting perfect twink gear in WoW. I've played Runescape for a very long time on and off. And today I came to understand that what if I used all the time I spend on the computer looking at forums/ playing video games. What if I used it for something productive, learning, helping, socializing. What do I get out of playing Runescape? I am happy when I pk someone in the wild. I'm happy when I reach a goal. What's next? Another goal. I'm never fully satisfied, and I never will be.

But, I do know that learning will help me in life, making friends will help me in life. But Runescape? How will a game help me in life. I've recently been getting bored of Runescape. It's just a cycle, a constant cycle that's never ending. I am going to quit my memberships on Runescape. I think forums are okay if I use them occasionally instead of reading numbers of forums daily. I want to see the improvement in my life. I believe that I will be happier, have more tie for friends, and stop being an ass hole. I think I've become a jack ass in real life because of the Internet. I really don't understand how my friends take it from me, I think I'll start losing friends if I don't change soon.

I really do think that quitting MMO's and any other addictive game with i
mprove my life and yours too. I encourage you to quit the games. They are a huge time waste. I spend probably 10 or more hours a day on the weekends on the Internet. I could finish a book in that time. As I said I have finally realized it. I have been enlightened. We worry and think everyday about our merchanting, our vouches, our bots. It occupies our minds more then you would think. I am proud of myself that I have finally found the reason as to why life is getting boring. I really honestly hope you give this a thought. Thank you for your time and for you reading this.

I am enlightened that addicting games are just a time waste and that I should spend my time doing other things.

Amen. Why I have decided to cash out and sell my accounts before this year of high school. I also got a 30 Def turmoil pure hacked with over a 250M bank, and too be honest, I'm relieved.

Yeah I see where you area going with this. However there are some people how there that use Sythe as a necessary way to make some money. Some members on here have even traded $100k+ which isn't something you can just call a time waster with the amount of money involved.
But I do agree that it is very addicting, even had myself at times become truly addicted that I started to leave my important things in life behind and do bad in school. As of now I think I can finally move on after I sell all my accounts sometime in the future. Good luck with your life.

Yes, that is true. Sythe is helpful, and video games in general, if you are able to get a source of income. Overall my point was that if you are constantly playing just for "Fun" then it can be a waste of time. And thank you.

Wow words of wisdom. I too felt this many many times, but at the end, RuneScape just has to "hit" you again, and your playing, and off, playing and off. When you think its over, it just starts again, and you won't even know it. And the time that you play, the time moves by so fast....you won't know what the time is, what the date is, or sometimes, even if its night or day.

Right now im in the phase to play this MMO, I try harder everyday to quit, but..

Good Luck to you, and hope you have a great life ahead of you.
