how do you use a gamepad as a mouse

hi, i just recently bought a logitech dual action gamepad. it came with the drivers and a game profiler, the only problem with that is, it doesnt work to change the gamepad to a mouse. i downloaded pinnacle game profiler which could make it turn into a mouse but the trial is only 15 minutes long and you have to restart it and go through all the crap again. does anyone have something like this without a trial

 

I'd say that unless you're switching games from afar, it's not worth it to give the gamepad priority over a real mouse. You might want to reinstall, or check for new drivers though.
