Guide To The Ectofungus - Prayer

Here is a guide by myself written to tell you how to get your prayer up really fast using the ectofungus.

1. What is the ectofungus?

The ectofungus is a statue of some sort a little east from Canfis, near port Paraymes ( Or however you spell it =P ). After you crush bones and get buckets of slime (Explained later) you may worship it, giving you about 4 times (4x) the prayer xp per bone!

2. How to get there.

There are two ways to get there. You must have done preist in peril to get there. If you want to make things faster, use the ectoplial ( Omg Im sorry I cant spell ) you get from Ghost Ahoy ( Not required ) to teleport there.

3. The quests

There are two quests you ABSOLUTLY need to do for it to work efficiently. Those are Preist in Peril and Ghost Ahoy. If you want you can also do Ghost Ahoy but thats not nessesary, I got 52 prayer in under 24 hours without it.

4. Your Inventory

Method One

9 bones of any sort
9 pots
9 empty buckets
Empty space OR Ectophial.

Method Two <<< Recommended >>>

9 bones of any sort
9 pots
Some cash, about 2k
9 Empty spaces

5. Bank

Not a big part, but you should have enough bones to get you to your goal. For me it took about 500 dragon bones to get to level 52 prayer from about level 15 prayer. That costed 700k. Not so bad =)

6. How to worship it

Now theres two possiblities, a very slow way that will hurt you alot mentally, or a very shorter way, which costs alot more..about 1k =P

Here are the steps for the long way...

1. Get out the stuff I said in method one
2. Go to the ecto
3. Go down the trap door and go to the bottom
4. Fill the buckets with slime
5. Go back up / tele with the Ectophial
6. Go up the ladder and crush the bones
7. Woship the ectofungus
8. Talk to the disciple to get your ecto-tokens
9. Bank

Now the faster, method two!

1. Get out the stuff I said in method two. NO Ectophial!
2. Go to the docks and BUY the buckets of slime from the traders
3. Go to the ecto and crush your bones
4. Worship it and claim your tokens, then bank!

I like the way you put the guides together. But, the spelling... 8/10! Another way is to combine it with your construction guide! With a guilded alter you get 350%xthe exp, you would normally get. Good Luck mate!!

I don't know all the names of the objects in the game/citys.

If somone can post the corrections to those, it would be greatly appreciated.

 

Guilded alters pwn ecto. Good guide, but sorry guilded = winner.

And does guilded altar give 350% and ecto like 400%? I'm not sure...but for those who don't have 75 construction / a friend with it can use the ectofungus!
