Coming back to Runescape - What's new?

Well I quit Runescape about a year ago or so and I am today thinking about coming back just for fun. Before I quit I used to really enjoy staking, so I am wondering what is new and what should I do? My accounts have about 6-7M wealth, not much I know just leftovers after I sold my gold, and my staking account has a raiper, and a bit of degraded statius and vesta armour, I am wondering what features are new? Would my staker still be good for staking? What's changed when staking? Thanks. I have added pictures of my accounts below.

I was also wondering of the value of my accounts? As I was considering selling one for GP, to give funds to the other, would this be possible?

The account on the right would be the best staking account. As for things that have changed:

• Squeal of Fortune (a kind of "roulette" game)
• There was a huge bot nuke that took out all of the reflection bots (e.g. EpicBot, PowerBot)
• There is now a Runecrafting mini-game.

 

I usually do boxing rapier stakes though, would that account still be better if I maxed out my purpose built staker? Or are his stats wasted now?

I just tried the squeal of fortune, seems a bit hypocritical of Jagex's anti-RWT policies.

I was never much into botting so I imagine the nuking could be an improvement.

Runecrafting shouldn't really have any affect on me either.

His stats aren't necessarily wasted, it's just that the other account is already maxed.

There has been alot about that on Sythe.

There are still bots around like Simba which uses color detection.

You might need it for a quest or something eventually.

No problem Torva is still the best combat armour.

You are thinking of auras.

 

Awesome, thanks for all your help mate, think I'm going to try buying membership on the maxed account, then maybe try to sell the staking account, any idea on a price I could expect?

 

For a price on what you could expect you could post in the price check forum
Although I'm warning you, you may not like the price people give you, rs accounts are cheap nowadays.

 

Two very nice accounts.

Just keep them both, selling accounts isn't worth it anymore.

 

As long as it isn't too low I shouldn't be too bothered.

Staking hasn't really changed but there have been quite a few bugs in the duel arena which have been abused but I haven't come across any for a while now.

No point in selling your account, it will hardly fetch anything, accounts don't go for much these days.

Even if I only got 50M it's something to start with.

 

It's been mostly graphical updates in the past year, a few new weapons, but nothing major.

 

Majority of the updates includes the usual members quest and graphical updates.

The rather bigger updates are bot-nuke and Runespan which is coming out this coming Monday.
