What is the purpose of this rank?

The purpose of this rank is that the moderators do not have to scan these files, and it saves them the time to moderate the forums instead of scanning the files time on time. The security team makes sure the programs are safe and post a picture of the scanned file on the thread itself, if the program is infected they report it by using the report button.

Positive and Negative side of this rank?

This saves a lot of time for the moderators to moderator the boards, but on the other hand the security team could lie about the outcome to let people download the file to get infected and steal peoples information, therefore I suggest picking out trusted people for this job.

What does the security team do?

The security team has several jobs:

1) Make sure programs/files are clean and post the result on the thread.
2) Have daily contact with the moderators and administrators on keeping the security high for the users of www.sythe.org
3) Be the first to scan the files, before people download the programs/files.

What powers/colour should this rank have?

This rank should have moderator on certain categories where programs are posted, and should have a darkblue colour with bolded outlines. This is to prevent people from scamming others by saying they are from the security team.

Hopefully this suggestions will be taken under consideration.

Like I said in the other thread, you don't need a rank for this. Anyone can scan files.

 

They could, but there are many people that do not know HOW it works, moderators do not have time to scan the files as they have better things to do so why not pull together a team and secure the users.

I believe securing the users is one of the main points of a community, and without security measures, people will get infected by malicious files.
