    Discussion About Eyesight

So as of now, it is impossible to get better eyesight without contacts, glasses, or surgery and any other sources claiming to improve your eyesight without them do not have much scientific backing.

But, is it possible to train your eyes to distinguish blurry objects far away?
For example, a person with very good eyesight would be able to read the letter A very far away, but one with not-so-good eyesight would only see a blur.

But could that person train his vision to be more sensitive to the blur and distinguish that letter as an A?

I would not think so as a blur is a simply a blur. What I'm trying to say is it depends on how bad the blur is. If its not that blurry, you can probably distinguish what it may be.

picture it as pixels, when you pixel-ate something a bit, you'll know what that is still. if you pixel-ate is a lot, you'll only see what is a blur. There could be an elephant or a tiger behind the blur but you wont know, you can only guess. Same concept with eyesight.

You cannot train to see a blur as a distinguishable character because the blurs themselves seem very similar. Maybe if it is a slight vision blur, but for those that regularly need glasses for daily use cannot train to become sensitive in recognizing letters if all they see is a blur for almost all the letters.

If you can't see something you can't see it. You can't be trained to have good vision.

I have pretty bad eyesight. I wore eyeglasses for a while, but eventually transitioned to contacts per doctors request because he said it'll help prevent my eyesight from getting worse in the future. I actually like contacts, they never really bother me unless its really really windy outside and dust flies in my eyes.
