! Make this Thread more widely known !

Please note, this is not my guide, I'm not sure how I can across this forum, but I found this guide, And it is extremely helpful, I think it should be stickied in a more accessible forum?

One such as "account upgrade", as that is where potential scammers could make money.
EDIT: I know in the rules of the Account Upgrade section it says that you must apply the upgrade yourself, but not everyone does that, and I think its better to be safe then sorry.

Maybe this could be of use in other areas that use teamviewer?
Or, I can garentee you, not 100% of account upgraders get given the account info, so perhaps this could be stickied in there anyway? It's better to be safe then sorry?

Iight fair call, I just thought this could help sythers, I won't bother posting again on this thread without some positive feedback. I've learnt from this, and now I'm safer, So I'm happy.

 

What other areas use TeamViewer?

I guess you could put it in the Account Upgrade section, as it would prevent a few members from getting scammed.

 

Yeah, that was the point in it, I know it says to give the user the info, but most people dont. So like you said, HOPEFULLY it prevents some scamming.

 

It would contradict the rules in that section, but it would make sense to have it there if you have real reason to believe people still use it.

 

No one is going to read the sticky because a majority of the people don't care about stickies. Most people think "I am smart enough to do this on my own", in which most cases they aren't.
However, there are already enough stickies on this site, I don't find it necessary for anymore.
