That's a good start, but you need to learn some basic lighting.

Brush with a large, soft, white brush on a new layer and depending on the situation, either set it to normal blending with lowered opacity, or set it to soft light. Next, using a slightly smaller(usually), soft, black brush on a new layer, brush on the parts that should be darker. That will make your lighting seem a little more vibrant.

Remember as you go through making your signature that you need lighting. If you remember this you can actually get away with never brushing in the lighting at times if you have darkened unlit areas enough. As you practice more and more, you might find that the lighting is just not looking right or doesn't fit. In that case, you can try to smudge it some.

Some extra little tidbit of advice you need a little work on blending I mena its pretty good as it is, but work on your color transition and which colors compliment each other in this case complimenting.
