Snuff

I'm curious over this tobacco, it's pretty popular here in Sweden but not sure if it's selling in other countries. I'm going to travel to England soon and just very curious if I can find any tobacco shops with Snuff in Birstol or so. Is it common at all outside scandinavia?

 

Those little gum looking pouches that you hold against your gums? Got them in the U.S if it is.

 

I'm sure you would be able to find it. It's available in my country, which is not Scandinavia.

A tobacco you put under your lips, you call them ''Snus'' in Sweden - google it. My question was if it's selling in England since I'm going to travel there...I've honestly never heard of it in other parts in Europe.

 

yes its common pretty much any tobacco store should sell it, at least the ones in the US do.

 

I'm not 100% sure if it's common , but more than likely , it is . Over here in the US I see it in stores/gas stations all the time . Kids sneakily use it in school all the time .

I'm pretty sure you can buy it at just about any tobacco shop though, just about anywhere. For some reason snuff grosses me out so much though, which makes absolutely NO sense considering I'm an avid smoker.

 

Ahh , it also seems to gross me out as well ! I would rather smoke a cig than do snuff anyday ! And I don't smoke . .

 

Its just that back in school they used to bring in these pictures of people with mouth & gum cancers, and they would have these massive craters in their face from having to remove their jaw, tongue, teeth etc. It was absolutely disgusting!

If your chewing snuff too, its going to be constantly rubbing up against your gums and teeth for hours at a time, which in my opinion is much worse than 2 minutes of smoke passing through your mouth a few times per day.

I mean they are both filthy habits and I should probably quit smoking soon anyways, but theres something about snuff that just grosses me out :sick:

I thought snuff and snus are 2 different things?

 

In America they are. Snuff is inhaled through the nose while snus is placed in the mouth. I think it's an issue with translating the words between English and Swedish.
