Riot selling level 30 accounts?

Saw a thread on reddit about a possibility of Riot selling fresh level 30 accounts to people instead of forums and ebayers.

This would be a high money maker for them but they'd also lose out on XP boosts.

One point people were making were things such as only being able to buy a 30 account if you already have one. This is to avoid having fresh players just jumping into ranked games without any practice. Would allow for more trolling.

Thoughts?

Probably this; but if they do they'll have to crack down on powerleveling bots; or they could just be undercut easily.

 

Why? It'd be a high moneymaker for them. Albeit all the negatives that comes with it.

They'd make money, but they'd never do it. Goes against their views on smurfing like others have stated.

 

I'd like to have the possibility to buy one level 30 account if you already have one and link them to each other. Only one though.

 

There are enough trolls as it is. I really hope they don't bring this in.

 

It would be fine if they made a separate queue for the level 30s perhaps for a set amount of games.

This would make it so all the new players and smurfs would all be together, but with the benefits of being level 30.

This would make it so smurfs still play with other smurfs so it wouldn't ruin regular games, and new players could still see how it would be like to be 30.

 

No, I highly doubt Riot will do this.

 

Most likely just another rumor going around, trust me this isnt going to happen. League is as bad is it is with trolls, what we be the point of the game to start on a level 30 account as a noob?

 

wouldnt doubt them doing it tbh, Profit and retarded game modes are riots bread n butter. Who cares about massive lag spikes during ranked matches....

 

That's got nothing to do with what you said, or the actual topic question lol. Also, the lagg is due to server issues, and the only regions that have been affected since whenever have been EU (some) and NA. Riot don't only cater to two regions, meaning, they prioritise with what is most important. However, they are probably working on fixing it ASAP.

i'm about to drop my diamond smurf into bronze just because I can grind back up to diamond faster than making another 30 lol.

 

Keep in mind that should this system (the one proposed on reddit) be implemented, your main and smurf would be linked. So, any possible punishments accrued by trolling would be carried over to your main as well

 

Even if they did it, Riot wouldn't be able to match the prices of account sellers at the moment, so no, it won't happen.

 

They don't have to match the current prices of lvl 30 accounts to be successful, as the legitimacy of getting a Riot-approved smurf vs getting a bot-leveled account is value in itself. Take a look at Runescape - of course buying shittons of bonds for your gold is more expensive than buying from the reputable sellers here, but bonds were still successful because it provided players who didn't feel comfortable breaking TOS to still get their gold.

 

I answered his question and added my 2 cents at the end. Ive been having major issues with riot for weeks now and all i see from them is retarded game modes and apologies. I just want to see a company actually give a fuck about their player base and take care of business. Explain to me why they wouldnt prioritize fixing the most profitable region? Its been fucking weeks with issues not a day or 2. Put some of that twitch money back into the game plz.
