Sythe help!?

Hello.

I made this account yesterday and didn't think of a decent name to pick... Well i have thought of one now and tried to make a new account but it won't let me because i've already made one from this IP address...

I want to change my account username, or make a new account if possible. If there's any way to do this please post below or contact me via pm Thank you!

You can't get a username change I'm afraid.

As for creating a new account you are allowed to do that, but you are not allowed to have your new account interact with your old one. You may need to use a proxy in order to create a new account.

 

Its also a pretty good idea that you request a "Self Requested Ban" on your old account.

Look in the dispute section, many people with the same problem as you and staff have replied with the same answer as Laptop65 gave. He is also a former staff member, so he knows his stuff.

In case it's still not clear, here's what you should do:

Make a new account. You'll need to use a proxy, but most easily available ones are taken. If you have a smart phone it's probable that you can register from the mobile network. If not, just find a proxy that works.

Next, PM any global moderators on your old account to get a self requested ban. Be sure to explain the SRB is because you wanted a new account name, just so they don't accidentally give you a real ban that carries across IP addresses.

Third, just make sure you don't "interact" in any way with the accounts. There's no reason to have two, so that's why the SRB helps avoid confusion. People have gotten into trouble for self-account interaction, and others have gotten in trouble for "impersonating" themselves by transferring vouches. NOTHING from your old account can be transferred.
