Fyrix scammer report

Imgur - seems they are currently trying to imposter Chicks as of this moment.


How these scammers work:


One will add you for (insert various reason) and will quickly lose interst. This is to ensure they are on your friends list.

The other will then add you and try to sell you gold. They will be very co-operative and offer to use whatever middle man you want. They do the usual questions etc to sow some chaos into the conversation to make you jump through hoops etc. At the final stage, they will trade the Middle Man and put up all the gold.

At this point, the first person that added you will change their name to the Middle Man you are using and will start DMing you that the trade is complete.

Due to some confusion on my end and some private conversations that found their way outside the group chat during the transaction. I fell for this and lost $350 while using QBD as a middleman. I have no reason to believe QBD was directly involved I chose him randomly myself. Starting a side conversation outside the group chat with me during the transaction did not help, but in the end it was my own fault. Imgur


I am only making this post because these scammers added me from the same UID's today to attempt round 2 which I did not fall for this time.


EDIT:

Shortly after posting the above, I had some more weird shit happen. This time the guy has a $200 donor rank. At no point did I message him he messaged me out of the blue, while at the exact same time a scammer was DMing me on discord.

The whole thing screams scam. However due to me not knowing who the first scammer was, and this second person having not scammed me just done REALLY sketchy behavior. Im not sure what to post I don't want to make incorrect accusations.

I don't know what kind of half brained scam Fyrix is trying to pull, but he should have had no idea about this Discord user DMing me unless he personally knew the scammer. Which means Fyrix is not directly scamming but indirectly scamming using a 2nd person as a proxy.

The reason I pm'd you was because someone with the UID 484211328278593556 (which was the discord that was talking to me so I knew for sure he was trying to imposter scam) matches a scam report on sythe. https://www.sythe.org/threads/bust-is-a-scammer-read-this-scam-can-get-you-if-you-are-tired-or-busy/#post- 40408574 which is why I pmed and warned you. @corby
